4/29/15 – Update: Sky (right) and her pal Rex (left) are just hanging out giving each other lovins.. Then, we have Sky in the car on her way home from her vet appointment with the Dermatologist Monday. As we continue to take care of her medical needs please say prayers that she remains strong and healthy. Her foster parents Rebecca and Bryan absolutely adore her. We are happy to have such wonderful fosters. If all goes well they may be foster failures! ♡ Gina

Draco Update
4/28/15 – Draco update.
Our little friend was becoming anemic so we ran several more tests, but still no answers as to a cause:( Upon radiographs there was a suspicious area that looked like metal, which can cause anemia, so Dr. Maria operated a few nights ago. Draco had no foreign object seen during exploratory surgery. He is in recovery and he is doing well. Today he is set to go to a potential home. We were not successful finding his family. Unfortunately we suspect he definitely had a home at some point because he is a humongous lover boy. It appears as tho he has been on the streets for a while. Torn ear, emaciated, and front declawed I’m amazed he survived!! Huge thanks to the good Samaritan Robert that brought Draco in to us for help. We need more people like him who step up and reach out to these abandoned animals on the streets. Gina

Lucky – Found Walking in the Middle of a Busy Highway
4/27/15 – This is lucky. She was found last night in the middle of Ryan Road; she almost was hit by a car when a good Samaritan stopped traffic and saved her. 4 Paws 1 Heart will take care of her medical needs but she will need her forever home. Draco – Little Emaciated Kitten Needs Surgery

Please keep paws crossed for our Draco… He had to have exploratory surgery late last night. He’s in recovery, but we still don’t know why he’s anemic. I’ll update when I know more. Gina

8-Week Old Kittens Found in a Ditch
4/21/15 – These 8-week old kittens (9 of them) were found in a ditch in Harrison Twp., MI. Fortunately, the person who saw them did not turn away but rescued each one of them and contacted 4 Paws 1 Heart for help. Three of the nine had upper respiratory infections and they started their treatment yesterday; the others will all be vetted today. Please educate and promote spaying and neutering. Everyone can play a role. Either help groups like ours to pay for spaying/neutering, get involved in trap, neuter, return, programs, or take action when you find stray cats in your neighborhood and work to get them fixed. ~ diana
ODIN – Continuing to Improve
4/20/15 
Odin has stolen my ♡. He is making baby steps improvement. He is now putting more effort into standing and trying to walk, but this is a HUGE process. He’s wagging his tail and all he wants is to sit on ur lap and give kisses. We will have a better update soon. In the meantime, we are trying to teach him to walk again. He suffered a traumatic injury affecting his spine. We are hoping and praying to get him through this successfully. Gina
