Wicket – RIP Sweet Baby
9/11/15 – RIP Sweet Wicket – Run free without pain and humiliation. You were much loved during your short time on this earth.
“Its with a very heavy heart I must tell you Little Wicket earned his wings today. Sadly his hurtles were just to huge to overcome. He had severe spinal deformities, problems digesting his food, and his sphincter muscle stayed open, never closed. Which is why he had no control over his bowels. Although his time here was not nearly long enough, it was filled with fun & love. He was loved & treasured every minute till his last breath. Thankyou 4 Paws 1 Heart for being here all along for Wicket & Ninos medical needs & support for me.Thankfully Dr. Owing feels that Nino will go on to live a healthy, happy life. We just have a couple small issues to work out. RIP Sweet Boy, love you always ♥♥♥ Foster Mom Dee”
August 2015 – Medical Babies
9/11/15 – This past August, 4 Paws 1 Heart paid medical bills for 78 cats/kittens, with just ONE veterinary! And you wonder why I can’t keep up. Think about it — 78 cats/kittens will never procreate again. Although I have their names, let’s assume 39 were female who could start having babies at about 5 months old. Knowing that one female can have 3 litters a year with an average of 4 kittens a litter and a lifespan of 3 years on the street — a minimum of 1,404 animals were kept from being born by these 39 females. If nothing was done, those females would have been responsible for another 1,404 cats being born and and those cats would have gone on to have their own babies and continue the vicious cycle. Here are some of the babies we’ve helped with your donations. ~ diana
Chance – Reports on his Roommates – Wicket and Nino
9/10/15 – Along with your continued prayers for Sommerset, remember Nino and Wicket. They are seeing a specialist in Manx Syndrome in Jackson, MI this afternoon. It will break our hearts if the prognosis is that they cannot have a good quality of life. ~ diana
Jimmy – 3 Years Later – A Happy Before and After
9/9/15 – A Happy Before and After…
It was a few years ago when my phone rang on a Sunday morning, and my friend James needed my help to catch a stray dog in the neighborhood. The police tried for several hours, but had given up because they’d had no luck.. Eventually, I was able to get a leash around his head and coax him out from underneath a shrub. It took some patience and trust, but we got him! Here is “Buddy” with his new friend (Boston Terrier), and they are living the good life! smile emoticon Because of our supporters and your donations, 4 paws 1 heart paid to have Buddy fully checked out, vaccinated, and neutered. No one ever came looking for Buddy.. My friend James fell in love, and decided to make him a permanent part of the family. This is what it’s all about for me! Gina
Sommerset – Update
9/9/15 – Sommerset Update.. I’m sorry it’s taken so long to update on this brave princess. Today has been crazy:/ The doctor from Michigan State touched base with me earlier, and I’m happy to report surgery went well! Sommerset was resting comfortably afterwards:) I want to thank Michigan State University for helping us make this possible in more ways than one, and we are beyond comfortable with Sommerset being in their hands. I was at ease and impressed with the professionalism, compassion, and dedicated staff at MSU!! We might be picking her up tomorrow, so I’ll keep everyone posted!♡ Gina
