So Many Abandoned and Abused Animals Needing Our Help

12/2//15 – YOU DID IT!! Thank you, dear friends, for meeting the challenge of our Secret Santa. The $1,500 matching check is on its way and because of you and our Secret Santa, we will be able to help many more animals who will, unfortunately, come our way. This baby is a good example of the types of cases we will continue to see this winter. Our friends are still trying to catch him. He is missing an eye and has been hanging out on the deck of a lady who contacted us. Thus far he has been elusive; but, with our prayers and positive energy, maybe he will be caught tonight so that we can get him to the vet. Again, we have the best supporters and please know how much we appreciate you.catw:jamielynnseguin-allison12.2.15

Winston – Miracles Couldn’t Happen Without Our Supporters

12/1/15 – And, this is how your donations are spent. Not to mention, the thousands of animals we have spayed and neutered over the past five years. Don’t forget that all donations made today (up to $1,500), will be matched by our Secret Santa. ~ diana

‪#‎Giving‬ Tuesday Update on our gun shot wound dog: He had surgery about 3:00 a.m. The amputation surgery went very well and we were able to have him neutered at the same time. He is in recovery at the moment and resting comfortably with his pain meds. A huge thank you to Dr. Pamela Graves for doing this major surgery.
I’ve included a pic of his foot prior to the amputation, and as you can see his foot was shattered beyond repair. There was no way we could save the leg. Thank you for all the prayers. We’ll update again tomorrow. Gina

Winston – Shot in the Paw

11/30/15 – winston11:30:15This very sweet boy is in stable condition; unfortunately, he is scheduled to have his rear paw amputated some time over night. For those of you who missed the original posting last night, he was brought into the Emergency with a gun shot wound. His right foot was shattered. The actual wound was too graphic to post but he lost a great deal of blood. He was in shock and was immediately treated for that and pain. 4 Paws 1 Heart is covering his medical needs which will also include neutering, vaccinating, and a heart worm test when appropriate. Gina’s Angel, who was one of our first medical rescues, will be donating blood for the surgery. Any donations will be much appreciated. AND, if you donate tomorrow for‪#‎Giving‬ Tuesday, your donation will be matched (up to $1,500) by our Secret Santa. Donations can be made through Paypal on this page or our website 4paws1heart.org. Please share and say a little prayer for this very sweet dog who even in pain was wagging his tail as if to say Thank You for saving me. ~ diana

One Year Old Cats Thrown Out by Their Owner

11/30/15 – We received the following call for help from Jamie:

“Hello! I have a lawn care company and one of my customer’s neighbors decided she didn’t want her 2 cats anymore (about a year old) and kicked them out of the house. Another neighbor of hers has been poisoning feral kittens in the area so I decided to foster (maybe adopt) these cats. I was wondering if you offer any kind of assistance. They are very nice, friendly cats and I would like to make sure they stay healthy!”

Of course, we said yes. The kitties were taken to our good friends at the Humane Society of St. Clair (SNAP) and it was determined that everyone was already fixed. They were then tested for Felv/FIV and the results were negative. They received their basic vaccines and were good to go. Jamie just told me that she has fallen in love with them and will be giving them their forever home. YEAH!!! ~ dianacatw:jamie11:30:15kittenw:jamie11:20:15---

Farrah – Infested with Fleas and Worms and Found Alone in a Yard

11/28/15 – As of 11/25/15 we have spent $118, 177 in medical bills!!! Our bank account is at the lowest it has been in months, and once again I must be cautious as to what cases we can take on. At this time of the year, people are thinking about holiday shopping, decorating, and having fun with friends and family. I ask that you also remember all of the abandoned, stray, and abused animals who need are help and consider donating to 4 Paws 1 Heart. Without your donations we cannot get these babies off the street, healthy, and into good homes.

This is Farrah. A 4-5 week old baby who was found in a yard. She was infested with fleas and worms. After visiting the vet, complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart, and getting treated, she is now just a kitten again. She purrs when her foster parents just walk in the room. Farrah is another one of our great stories because she already has a home lined up when she is healthy enough. Thank you to our new Board member, Tami R., for rescuing her. ~ dianafarrah11:28:15
