Winter and Bronx – Winter Had Seizures; Bronx had a Head Injury

11/12/20 – Meet the neonate babies, Winter and Bronx who were rescued by Spark of Love Animal Rescue, a group who specializes in neonate rescue. Both had to be hospitalized but fortunately are now home and doing well. Winter is a Maltese who had a seizure and was displaying neurological issues. Since she has been home, she has had no more seizures. Bronx is an American Bully who seemed to be struggling from a head injury. Although these puppies will not be available for awhile and are still being watched for any further medical issues, anyone interested should contact the rescue. As always, we thank our donors who make it possible to give these abandoned animals a second chance. – diana

Jezzibelle – Found on the Streets in Severe Pain Due to Dental Infection

11/12/20 – Please remember Jezzibelle in your prayers tonight. She was found on the streets in very much pain due to a serious gum/dental infection. She has been on antibiotics, has had blood work, and is now scheduled for her dental surgery and spay tomorrow. Jezzibelle is about 5 years old and will have 3 extractions tomorrow along with a cleaning. She already has missing teeth including both incisors. The very sweet girl has taken to suckling probably because her teeth have been causing her such pain. Jezzibelle is with Up in Arms for Animals Rescue and Rehab so, if you are interested in adopting her, please contact them. These beautiful animals would not have a second chance at life without the Village of animal advocates and caretakers. – diana

Shih Tzu Puppies – Thirteen Rescued After Being Dumped by a Backyard Breeder

11/11/20 – Thirteen Shih Tzu puppies were found in hiding in various locations but in the same general area. They had been dumped by what appears to be a ‘backyard breeder’ because they were obviously no longer of use. Of the thirteen, ten had to be immediately placed in the hospital and three were well enough to stay with the rescue for decompression and minimal care. Of the ten who had to be hospitalized, one required an amputation, one has heart worm, and one has a number of mammary tumor; the rest have various infections and infestations. I apologize for the graphic photos but it is important to know what some people will do to make their living on selling animals. 4 Paws 1 Heart made a significant donation to their medical bill as Rebel Dogs of Detroit does everything possible to help the abused, stray, and abandoned dogs of Detroit. – diana

“Hey Team! Mom here, my apologies for the late update with Bridgette. We were having some technical difficulties posting to our page. Hopefully it’s all better now.
So Bridgette did great for her procedure and her bloodwork came back purrfect. But…there wasnt as much to flush from her nasal passages as usual and she still sounded congested. So she recieved an antibiotic shot and also some nose drops to be used once or twice a day as needed. Have never given a cat nose drops before so not too sure how it’s going to go But will keep you posted. With Bridgees allergies & asthma always rearing its head she needs all the relief she can get. She really is our sweetest, sweetest girl ❤ Thankyou 4 Paws 1 Heart and all who donated for our Bridgeeee! Shes having a much deserved snooze & snuggle with Scout – Bridgette”

Binx and Gigi – Binx Found on ‘Devil’s Night’ Severely Injured; Gigi Found in the Freezing Cold

I got an updated pic of 2 special kitties today looking out the window and just enjoying life.. Both were rescues from the street. Buster (aka Binx) was found as a kitten and taken into 4 paws 1 heart (Angel helped me foster him but she was napping on the job). He was in the street on devils night with several injuries that took months of healing. Gi Gi was found in the freezing cold by a Good samaritan and Moore Veterinary Hospital was kind enough to provide medical, food, and shelter until she was placed. Both were adopted by a friend and they are doing wonderful. ♡.Gina binx and angel gigi 11:7:20

Salem, Lola, Frey, and Zelda – Rescued from the Streets

11/6/20 – Salem, Lola, Frey, and Zelda are four of the many kittens rescued from the streets over the past few month. They will have their final appointment before going to adopted homes where they will be vaccinated, tested, spayed/neutered. Since August, 2010, 4 paws 1 heart has paid $975,000 in medical treatment for over 7,500 stray, abandoned, and abused animals. And, as I’ve said so many times before, we couldn’t do it without the support of so many businesses and individuals. These little babies will be loved and sheltered and never have to worry about getting hit by a car or losing an eye because of an untreated upper respiratory infection. In that, we are all so very grateful. – diana

Squirt and Callie – Found With Upper Respiratory Infections

11/5/20 – Squirt and Callie were rescued by a very kind man. One is an adult cat the other a kitten. They were both very ill with upper respiratory infections, vomiting, and diarrhea, They were taken to one of our partner veterinaries where they were treated for all of their ailments. There will be follow up to make sure the infections are gone and they will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested when appropriate. This has been the year of the cats and I sincerely thank all of the amazing people who never turn their backs to an animal in need and the many kind people who continue to support our mission. – diana
