8/17/18 – Meet Raven. She had been spotted for about three days at a sailboat-junkyard, when Rebel Dogs Detroit was called. She has flea bitten ears and when taken to the vet, she was found to be heart worm positive. 4 Paws 1 Heart will be taking care of her heart worm treatment. Please say a prayer that Raven will recover and find a loving and forever home. Also, please consider donating so that we can continue to be there for these animals who have no one else. Donations can be made at:https://4paws1heart.org/donations/
Thanks, diana

Bubba – Found on the Streets and Would Have Been Euthanized
Meet “4 Paws 1 Heart”, “Bubba”. He was found on the streets and after his stray hold we took him in. Bubba is adorable, kind, and so gentle. He will have a great life from now on. It started when I saw him in a cage and in a fetal position shaking to death. He was a stray and he wouldn’t make eye contact…just literally terrified. I had to help him no matter what.
No one claimed him.
I just adore him. ♡ He is good with animals, people, and everyone he meets. Bubba is being treated for mange, he is being vaccinated, and he is gaining more confidence and happiness every day. ~ gina

Rosie Roo – Needs Your Prayers
8/9/18 Continued Prayers for Rosie Roo. – diana
“Hi everybody…I’m home! Sooo, Dr. Z let me come home becuse I was doing better and hadn’t had any eeeewy pooey while I was there.
So I had IV meds & injections today, and some other testing and 3 meds to have at home and we’ll see how I do tonight. Staying overnight at the emergency hospital on IV meds was discussed but Dr. Z & mom both agreed I wouldn’t be happy, or get any rest there, I wouldn’t eat and would be continually barking for mom. Sooo, the plan is we see how I do tonight and if I’m still feeling yucky I go back early in the morning and am admitted for the day again for IV meds. If I do feel better tomorrow then I will go in and have my IV port that’s hiding under this pretty purple wrap removed. Let’s all pray for removal please, Cus Dr. Z is thinking it’s one of 2 things. Either it’s a really mean bacterial infection and this power regimen of meds are going to fix it, or the meds dont help and then we’re looking at the C word.
So, I ate my dinner with my new meds mixed in. I’ve got 1 more med to take tonight…and hopefully we all get a better nights rest then last night. Please keep me in your prayers and it sure would help with my mounting vet Bill’s if you are able to make a donation to 4 Paws 1 Heart at 4paws1heart.org/donations/ and in the message box put “For Rosie” As of right now my Bill’s for the last couple weeks are right around $1000.00 and if I get better I still have my dental scheduled for the 29th. One thing I know for sure mom and 4 Paws 1 Heart will ALWAYS do what’s best for me. But I sure hope I get better cus I dont like it when my mom crys. She says its pepper got in her eyes, but I know its cuz she loves me so much ❤-Rosie Roo”
Rosie Roo – Needs Your Prayers
8/8/18- Senior Lady, Rosie Roo, is one of the animals 4 Paws 1 Heart committed to helping until that time her quality of life is at stake. Rosie is on a special diet and her rescue mom works hard to ensure Rosie’s dietary needs are always met. With the help of 4 Paws 1 Heart, Rosie has had almost every tooth removed and if she gets through this current crisis, she will need more dental work. Unfortunately, Rosie has had bouts of diarrhea and has been under doctor’s care but recently the stool has had considerable blood in it. Rosie was seen today by one of our favorite doctors and she suggested we try a different round of medications but also said that she suspects Rosie has glaucoma. So, the doctor is going to run some tests and may also prescribe medication for that. All of this medical care comes with a significant cost but Rosie has been a fighter since she was rescued as a 15 year old dog, roaming alone on the streets. She is so very sweet and, other than her current medical issues, seems to be happy and enjoying her loving home. Please say a little prayer for Rosie and send some positive energy. ~ diana
Hilary – Found on the Streets; Very Emaciated and Frightened
8/7/18 – Hilary was found wandering the streets, very emaciated. She has been reported to Warren Animal Control and posted on For The Love of Louie but no one has claimed her. Her finder says that she is very scared of every movement. She has scarring and seems to have been abused. Carolyn, her rescuer, says that she is very sweet and listens well. Carolyn is seeking placement for Hilary and asked us if we could pay for her vetting so as to improve her chances. If you can help, please contact Carolyn at: [email protected] ~ diana
Hanson – Dumped on the Streets
8/2/18 – The other day (after I just wrote over $10,000 in checks to veterinaries) I received the following message:
“My girlfriend and I sometimes go down to Detroit and look for homeless dogs. Sometimes we just offer food and water, and other times we take them in and adopt them out to good families. Hanson is our 7th Detroit rescue. We went down to Detroit to look at the area we got our 6th rescue from (who we ended up keeping) and within 5 minutes, saw Hanson looking for food. He was a super friendly, but nervous boy. He took to my girlfriend right away as she fed him chicken nuggets and gave him water. I knocked on a few doors on the block and asked if Hanson belonged to anyone. All the neighbors said no, and then a man came out of the house on the corner and said “Do you want that dog?” to my girlfriend. She asked if it was his dog, and he said no, he saw him get dumped on the corner about 8 or 9 days ago, and he’d be hanging out ever since, obviously not knowing where to go, and hoping someone would come for him. When the man told us that he had been dumped, we knew we had to take him. We have 4 dogs at home, so we knew we couldn’t keep him, but there was no way we were going to leave this 8 month old puppy on Springwells, knowing no one was coming back for him. He is so amazing, loving, all around fantastic dog and we have no idea why he was dumped, other than people are just cruel. “
We, of course, agreed to pay for Hanson’s basic medical needs but we can’t continue without your help. Anyone interested in Hanson should contact Vincent at: [email protected] ~ diana
Trixie – Rescued from an Abusive Home
8/1/18 – Trixie was rescued from an abusive home where it appears she was burned with chemicals. We thank all of our supporters who make it possible for us to help so many animals like Trixie and, of course, the many individuals who do not turn their backs on an animal in need. Trixie is now safe and has seen one of our great vets. ~ diana
Bingo – Deaf, Almost Blind, Arthritic, With Wounds – Found Roaming the Streets
7/30/18 – This very kind senior was found roaming the streets. He has a very aged body, with warts on his genitals, arthritis, and wounds on all his paws. He has poor balance, and is fully deaf. His vision is bad. Bingo has been seen by one of our favorite vets and is being treated for an infection. He will eventually be neutered and vaccinated. Anyone interested should contact Juniper of Rebels Dogs Detroit at: [email protected] . – diana
