Fundraising – Jacob Savoie “Rescuer of the Year”

12/28/17 – So, as scheduled, Jacob Savoie and Family met Tony and I at the Macomb County Animal Control Shelter. Unfortunately, Chief Randazzo, who was to meet us and conduct the tour, was called out on an emergency rescue. Thankfully, Ryan stepped up to do the tour. As you can see, we presented Jacob, who raised $1,705 and hundreds of pounds of food which was donated to the Shelter and to 4 Paws 1 Heart for distribution to our rescue partners, with a certificate recognizing him as the 4 Paws 1 Heart “Rescuer of the Year”. Everyone toured the shelter, the young ladies, Brook, Emma, and Aly (Jacob is allergic) spent time playing with some kitties and then — Chief Randazzo returned before we left. There he was with the duck rescued from the freezing waters in Harrison Twp. This very traumatized duck had a fishing line around his legs and he was trapped in the ice. Between the County and Chesterfield Twp, this sweet animal was saved.

A huge thank you to Jacob and his wonderful family who collected so many cans/bottles, blankets, food, and toys. It’s not easy to turn in so many cans/bottles let alone collect them. I also want to thank the City and Township of Armada and the residents who came together to make a difference in the lives of so many animals. This was truly an effort of a family and their community and it could not have been a better Christmas Story (especially with the rescue duck). What we all learned in touring the shelter was to make sure you microchip your pets, a tag or license is not enough. Also, when you adopt an animal, understand that it is a commitment for life. So many of these animals were surrendered or found in horrible conditions. Municipal shelters are not equipped or funded to take on all of the animals ills of the world. They can’t clean up after us and we must all work together to be the caretakers for those sweet souls who God put on this earth. ~ dianajacob savoiechief randazzo with rescued duck and Jacob Chief Randazzo and Jacob 12:28:17macomb county shelter kitten room

Jacob – A Young Man Chooses to Perform an Act of Kindness

12/14/17 – Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to our many supporters. Jacob has restored my faith in young people and humanity. He started off with a goal of collecting donations and cans/bottles that would allow him to donate $500 to 4 Paws 1 Heart. BUT, the whole town of Armada, MI came together to support this 12 year old young man. At this time, he has surpassed $1,000 and he and his family have collected hundreds of pounds in dog and cat food and supplies. May God Bless Jacob and his family and all of the good, caring people of Armada for their generosity. Many animals will be helped because of their generosity and many bellies will be full for the holidays. www.gofundme.com/jacobs-act-of-kindness-fundraiser

Thank YOU to our Supporters

/17/17 – A huge thank you to all of our supporters who donated during the $1,000 Match Challenge. I’m happy to report that we met our goal and that our generous donor will be donating $1,000!! Without your support we could not make the difference in the lives of so many animals like Luna who not only had to have her leg amputated but was found to be heart worm positive. Luna had to see a cardiologist who approved the surgery and once she recovers, she will start heart worm treatment with the funds from 4 Paws 1 Heart. ~ dianaluna 3 9:11:17

Kroger – Another Way to Help 4 Paws 1 Heart

8/27/17 – If you haven’t signed up for Kroger Community Rewards, please do!! And, when you do, select 4 Paws 1 Heart (91069) as your charity partner. In the past year, the donations from Kroger paid for 80 animals to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested. And now, we have doubled the number of households enrolled so we expect to do even better in the future. We just have to get everyone SHOPPING! Thank you to all who shop at Kroger and have enrolled. Please share with your friends. Kroger is a great community partner. ~ dianakroger

Boy Scout Austin Holds a Fundraiser for 4 Paws 1 Heart

7/19/17 – A huge thank you to our friend, Scout Austin Hammer, for conducting a bottle drive that raised $216.00 for the animals helped by 4 Paws 1 Heart. It’s because of the kind hearts of people like Austin that we are able to give so many, like this little one trapped in a garage and recently rescued, a second chance at life. It was a pleasure meeting Austin and his wonderful family at our recent Alex and Ani fundraiser.boy scout austin 7:19:17trapped in garage 7:19:17
