HELP NEEDED – A friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart contacted us about this 1 and 1/2 year old male who lives by day in the home but by night in a car. While the parents were wintering in another state, this guy had a comfortable home to live in, now that the parents are back they do not want this dog in their home. He is neutered and good around cats, dogs and people. He needs some leash work and his owners are ready to give him up. Sabrina’s Sweet Cats Needs Homes
Many people will remember Sabrina Gianino, brutally murdered in her Grosse Pointe Park home on May 15, 2013. Sabrina worked at Platz Veterinary and was known as an avid animal advocate who especially loved those who were less apt to be adopted — black cats, some of whom had special needs.
She often would take them home to give extra care and love. After her murder, some of her pets found themselves without homes. Her good friend took in her cats and has taken very good care of them since, but now they need permanent loving homes. The trial to bring justice to Sabrina Gianino begins Monday, March 10, almost 1 year after her brutal murder. Myron Tyronne Williams, her neighbor, has been charged with her murder. Please share Sabrina’s story and let’s help in finding her sweet cats forever homes. Soup went to his foster home
1/17/14 SOUP UPDATE: Soup went to his foster home yesterday. He will be there for 2 to 3 weeks. Then we will start arranging his next surgery on his femur that is dislocated. He is doing wonderfully and is soaking up the love. Soup absolutely loves his belly rubbed! ~ gina
Helena found in Taylor Junkyard
1/15/14: Friends of 4 Paws 1 Hear, Nicole Norton and Melissa Gawel Riddle, contacted us about a beautiful cat who was in very shape and found in a Taylor junkyard. Helena will need all of our help. She was examined and had limited treatment from a veterinary today. Without talking to Melissa Gawel Riddle, who will be fostering this sweetheart for The Devoted Barn, my guess is that she is going to need to see a specialist and I will be working with Melissa to have her seen by our favorite eye specialist, Dr. Easton, of Veterinary Vision of Rochester. Please say prayers and send positive energy — there are far too many cats and dogs who need us. Here is the report from Nicole who took sweet Helena to the vet today. ~ diana
“Helena seen a vet today. She is from the Taylor junk yard. She is in pretty bad shape. Please contact 4 Paws 1 Heart to donate to her medical needs. She has a long road ahead of her and could use some support. She is young, very tiny, has a horrible URI, and eye infections. Her right eye is gone, all that is left is dying tissue that will have to be surgically removed. Waiting on her bloodwork to come back before we go any further. She is safe and comfortable tonight. ” ~ Nicole
Tiki Found in a Tiki Torch
11/14/13 – Tiki is the little tiny kitten that was found in a garage in Detroit. He was heard crying for 2 days when he was finally rescued after being stuck inside of a Tiki torch. Here he is now with his new foster home doing wonderful and eating on his own like a big boy:) ~ gina

Left Behind, Finds Forever Home
11/4/13 UPDATE: The little black and white cat who showed up at our 4P1H friend’s, Jennifer Cahill, home has found a forever home. A love connection was made through our posting. Congratulations to the little guy who will now have a warm and loving home and a feline and canine as siblings. 11/3/13 CROSSPOSTING FOR A 4P1H FRIEND: My next door neighbor moved and left his cat behind. He lives outside and I need to find a rescue that will help him before it gets cold. Tiki Needs Help!
Help needed! This adorable little kitten was found stuck inside of a tiki torch for almost 2 days. He was brought into emergency last night by Good Samaritan. I took him in under 4paws1heart, but I need someone to take this baby home today and make sure he is eating good around the clock. If you can help please let me know as soon as possible he is about 4 weeks old, and eating formula with canned food by syringe.. gina
Lucky Needs Furever Home

4 Paws 1 Heart deserves a gold medal. They took care of Lucky and got him fixed and vaccinated. So I still am fostering Lucky until he can find a forever home. I would keep him but my other cat is not letting that happen Can anybody take him in? Also wanted to thank Gina from 4 paws 1 heart for making this all happen.

9/12/13 – Update on Calvin And Hobbes! Well, our very cute little kittens that were found in a motor on Sept. 1st, saved by Jeff Gaucher, and checked out healthy by our veterinarians, are going to foster care tomorrow! We provided funding for the initial care and now they will be going be up for adoption very soon (through another organization! If you are interested please contact me so I can provide more details..
