Boswer Still Needs a Home

Bowser STILL needs a home. He is 7 years old, fixed, up to date on vaccines, a Great Dane, Friendly, Good nature, and in need of a forever home. He was going to be taken to the shelter by his owner until a kind woman stepped up to help, but she only was able to hold onto him for a temporary basis. With his size and age she has been unsuccessful finding him a forever home. She needs our help and we need your help to share, cross-post, and network him out there. Please Help BOWSER!!! Gina

Animal Warriors

ANIMAL WARRIORS – We have been receiving many requests from individual rescuers who are now seeing cats and kittens show up on their porches needing help. Our 4P1H friend, Susan, contacted us about this little guy. Here’s her message:

“A male cat, un-neutered, has been hanging out at a friend’s house since August. He’s getting fed and has shelter. But now he is hurt, holding up a front leg. He broke my heart when I saw him earlier. He is not feral, and came up to me, I’ll send you a pic. I have an older, crabby male cat, so I cannot keep him. My friend has a male cat and cannot afford to take care of this hurt boy. Can you help this baby out?” – Susan

This sweet boy was brought into the Emergency, was x-rayed, tested and neutered. His leg had no breaks or sprains but his paw had some superficial burns on it which may have caused the limp. It also turned out that he tested positive for FIV which is not a death sentence but will require some special needs. For this reason, he was not vaccinated at this time. Susan and her family will work to find this handsome feline a forever home. ~ diana

Left Behind, Finds Forever Home

11/4/13 UPDATE: The little black and white cat who showed up at our 4P1H friend’s, Jennifer Cahill, home has found a forever home. A love connection was made through our posting. Congratulations to the little guy who will now have a warm and loving home and a feline and canine as siblings. Thank You, Jennifer, for caring and Thank You, Tracy G. for giving another rescue a great life. ~ diana

11/3/13 CROSSPOSTING FOR A 4P1H FRIEND: My next door neighbor moved and left his cat behind. He lives outside and I need to find a rescue that will help him before it gets cold. Last night, he cried all night long. I can’t take him in because I have two cats of my own who are strictly indoor cats so I feel so sad. Please let me know if you can help me. I’d like to get him a home ASAP! Thank you for your time! Please contact Jennifer Cahill at [email protected] if you can help. ~ diana

Breezy Update

UPDATE – “BREEZY”! Here he is thriving better than ever with food all over his face! We sure had a scare and I thought we were going to lose him, but he pulled through and is doing wonderful. As you can c he has a little shirt on tonight and he is eating like a champ! Thank you all for your support and prayers! He is a little miracle baby:) PS. I’m taking applications on him now before he goes to a rescue group, so we can have some potential adopters lined up. If you think you might be the perfect fit then please email me! Josie Finds a Foster Home

February 19, 2013 This dog showed up on the porch of one of our facebook friends. Her co-worker said that she would give her a home but after spaying and obedience training, the person felt the dog was too strong for her to control. The owners name is Pat. Her contact info is [email protected]. She is currently being boarded at her Union Lake Vet in Waterford but the vet will only keep her another week as a favor to the owner. Josie is being medicated with Prozac and zanax and feels Josie should continue on these meds because they feel she has severe separation anxiety. She is 35 lbs and approx 1.5 yrs old and mixed with Staffordshire terrier. We’re putting out a call for help to all of our rescue friends. ~ diana

February 26, 2013 Update: Tonya Fransioli
“HI, want to thank you again for posting Josie. While she hasn’t found a forever home, she did get picked up by Pitbull Parents Rehab and Rehome, and I am happy for that. They posted some pics of her on fb and it appears she is doing great. Thanks again ~Tonya”
February 26, 2013 Update:

Check Out Josie’s new photo’s on the Pitbull Parents’ fb page. How nice to see her out of a kennel and on a couch. Here’s what her new foster family has to say: ~ diana

“Josie – Itty Bitty Pittie (5 photos)
Everyone – Meet Josie our Itty Bitty New Pittie. Josie is about 1-2 years old and loves people! She loves people so much, she doesn’t want to be left alone. Other than her little quirk to keep you close by, she is full of energy and loves to sit on your lap and give you kisses.”

Jessica’s Kitten Looking for Her Furever Home

1/27/13 Jessica, a facebook friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart, contacted us about this sweet 7-month-old kitten who had been showing up outside her home. Jessica set up some shelter on her porch but had noticed that the kitten’s eye seemed to have a problem. 4 Paws 1 Heart offered to help having the eye checked and with spaying and vaccinations. Through Jessica and her husband’s dedication, the ‘kitten’ was captured, spayed and vaccinated (vaccinations paid by Jessica and husband), and the little one is doing great. She is looking for a permanent home. ~ diana
