Doc Rescued from Detroit
12-21-12: This handsome man, 5 months old, was found in Detroit with a terrible injury to his tail. 4 Paws 1 Heart was contacted for help with medical care because the kitten was in pain. Dr. Lutz had to amputate the tail on Doc because it was injured and infected. We fixed him and made sure he was healthy for adopting. Doc is a LOVER and he will make a wonderful family member. He is currently living with his rescuer who will foster him. ~ Gina
From our Friends at Misfit Angels Rescue: Bruno is an 8-month old Pit/Lab/Short guy mix! He was found by a concerned citizen after being hit by a car. The ladies from 4 Paws 1 Heart took him on and donated all his vetting, Thank you 4 Paws 1 Heart! Bruno’s tail had to be amputated and his leg had some bad wounds also, but are healing well, with antibiotic and daily bandage change. He is high energy, but a very happy boy. Bruno gets along with kids, cats and dogs, big and small! ~ Misfit Angels Rescue

One Less Homeless Kitty
ONE LESS HOMELESS KITTY – Cheri Doss Martin, a facebook friend and active advocate of the homeless, contacted us about a stray cat. She had been contacted by a family who had been feeding the stray for two years and now noticed that the cat’s tail appeared to be ‘hanging’. Cheri contacted us and we wanted to help. The bottom line is that Dr. Rita Taylor ended up amputating the tail at minimal cost and took care of neutering Clark as well as removing all of the maggots who had taken over his body. 4 Paws 1 Heart provided medical dollars for vaccines and testing. Here is his new mom’s e-mail to us and his photo. ~ diana
