4/11/20 – Another baby from the combined litter of 11 needs our help. Our friend, Jo, is getting this very sick baby this morning and we are going to be getting him/her into a vet asap. Please say a prayer that we can act fast enough; you know we will do everything possible even if it means getting her to the emergency hospital. We are being told that pus is coming out of her eyes. – diana

4/9/20 – A report from Carla’s mom after surgery: – diana

“CHANCE: CARLA UPDATE!!!!
Hey Team! Mom just called and Carla’s surgery is all done. Dr. Z removed 12-15 stones from Carla’s bladder!!! Holy cow!!! Carla did well for her surgery, but will be very painful for the next 5 days and mom will have to be very careful expressing her pee & poo. Carla will have to be on prescription food going forward annnd will have to come every 3-6mo for a urine culture in an effort to prevent any further stones from forming. We’re soooo grateful to Dr. Z and her staff for being here for our Carla and to 4 Paws 1 Heart and all who have donated towards Carla’s surgery, mom and all of us are sooo very grateful 💞 We will post again once Carla and mom are home and Carla is settled. 🐾”

4/9/20 – Update on Little one- she is going strong.. And, Carla is home recovering from a significant surgery with over a dozen stones in her bladder. Because of this, she will have to have check ups every few months to ensure stones are not again forming. A huge thank you to those who donated for her surgery and follow-up care. – diana

4/9/20 – Carla has been going to therapy since that time and has been making great progress but at this time she is in surgery to remove a number of bladder stones. Thank God she has a mom who intuitively knows when there is something seriously wrong. The doctor first thought it might be a bladder infection but now we know otherwise. Carla has been in surgery for over two hours so please say a prayer for our girl. She has been quite a trooper over the years. Here’s a report from her mom.- diana

“Hey Team, Mom here.
So Dr. Z did an ultrasound on our Carla and she has multiple bladder stones and her bladder is extremely inflamed. So we were right not to wait and Carla will be going right into surgery. As I suspected, she also has backed up poo and she will get an enema while shes under. Theres also special food, pain meds, antibiotics, appetite stimulant. Altogether the estimate comes to $750.00 which includes our rescue discount.
Like all of the animal organizations, all of the fundraisers for 4 Paws 1 Heart have been cancelled and donations are down to near nothing, understandably so. But the need goes on and right now its Carla that needs you. So, if you are able to donate any amount to help with Carla’s surgery it would be sooo very much appreciated ❤

4/8/20 – I shared Raven’s story on April 5; two days later she had her babies. After eluding a trap for two years, she must have known she was close to giving birth because she finally allowed herself to be trapped. Mama and the kitties will be in the Kitty Room at Pet Supplies Plus (Harper/13 Mile, SCS) when it’s appropriate. – diana

Update from Jo A.:  “Little one is back home. Look how good she looks.
Many thanks to Gina DeLuca and 4 paws 1 heart for helping this sweet baby.
I was up all night last night checking on her to make sure she was still breathing. I know I will for the next few days, plus she needs to be fed and meds through out the night.”

4/8/20 – Update on Little One. Keep in mind that one of the babies who died was in a hospital and some $700 later still died. This baby went to our friend Jo A. who spent the night loving and caring for her and then she spent the day with Gina, again getting love and care. Last night she was back with Jo. Update: I’m sorry but in my haste to post this I overlooked the fact that the 11 kittens came from two moms. I’ll provide more details as I get them.

4/6/20 – I know all of us our praying for our Country and every person impacted by the virus. But if you can add one more for this little one, it would mean a lot. A young woman, who has been tnr’g in a Shelby Twp. mobile home park, trapped a pregnant mom. The mom had 11 babies. Our friend Jo took in two. One of the babies Jo took died last night. And, one of the kittens with the rescuer also died last night. This little one made it through the night with all of Jo’s expertise and I talked with her this morning and offered to cover medical. Gina now has her at the vet she works at and she/he will be under her watchful eye. As I’ve said earlier, this will not only be a very tough time for humans but this will definitely trickle down to the animals. Again, May God be with us. – diana

“HI Facebook Kittyroom Friends….my name is Raven Beauty. My foster Mommy said that you can watch my journey right here on the 4P1H Village Kittyroom page.

The journey starts like this….I lived in a feral colony. The nice lady that took care of us put out a plea for help for someone to take me in….yeap, I got myself knocked up. Sure they tried to catch me for the last 2 years to get fixed but I never fell for the trap! Well this time I let her trap me (you’re welcome nice lady) and now I will be having my babies in a safe home…and my new foster Mommy said this will be my last litter of kittens ever…thanks to 4 Paws 1 Heart who will be paying my medical expenses to make that happen.
