1/9/16 – Our good friend, Charlotte, has continued her efforts to stop the over population of cats by doing trap/neuter/release at various industrial sites as well as residential complexes. When she catches a domesticated cat or a kitten, she will find someone to foster them and the foster will work to find a forever home. These are some of the many cats/kittens we have helped with neutering/spaying, vaccinating, and treating for upper respiratory infections, fleas, worms, and the list goes on. As you can see, many of them are black cats who face an increased amount of danger on the streets. If you are looking to make a difference, consider fostering for a rescue group, donating food/supplies, donating money to your local groups like 4 Paws 1 Heart or the rescue groups we work with, or volunteer your time at a shelter like the Catfe in Ferndale, Almost Home in Southfield, New Beginnings in Royal Oak, Animal Adoption Society in Madison Heights, or check out the shelters in your area. Kittens – Rescued from the Cold Streets of Southeast Michigan
4 Paws 1 Heart is all about transparency so I’m ‘fessing up’ right now. I have a huge love for tuxedo kitties and all black kitties. Look at these beauties. I can’t express how gratifying it is to get so many babies off the mean, frigid streets. Thank You, Leese, for rescuing them. 1/8/16 – Another Good Morning Smile for our Friends. All of these babies were rescued by Haley who contacted us hoping we could help with the medical treatment. Of course, we did. Trooper – Rescued from the Streets – No Longer Emaciated and Very Healthy
1/7/16 – Your Morning Smile! This is Trooper when he was rescued and today. He was rescued by a kind man last April. He was very emaciated and took awhile to get healthy. He is finally fit enough to get neutered and live the happy life he deserves. Here he is snuggling his fur sibling. ~ diana

Kittens – Saved From the Streets and Poisoning from Neighbors
1/6/16 – As winter was about to settle in, we received the following e-mail: diana
“Hello! I have a lawn care company and one of my customer’s neighbors decided she didn’t want her 2 cats anymore (about a year old) and kicked them out of the house. Another neighbor of hers has been poisoning feral kittens in the area so I decided to foster (maybe adopt) these cats. I was wondering if you offer any kind of assistance. They are very nice, friendly cats and I would like to make sure they stay healthy! – Jamie”
We were happy to get these babies out of danger. I continue to be sickened by the cruelty of alleged humans. It has been my experience over the past five years that cats see the worst of it. Thank you to every person, like Jamie, who refuses to turn their back. As long as we have the funds, we will always be there for you.

His Injuries Were Too Much – RIP Sweet Boy
UPDATE: For those of you who have been following the story of this injured stray we were recently helping, I have very sad news… He passed away on his own during treatment today, but the staff said he went quick and peacefully.. We can be thankful for that and that he didn’t die on the streets cold, scared, and alone. He had many prayers, warmth, and he was not in pain. I’m also thankful that we happened to be in a position because of our supporters to be able to provide the quality care he received. Thank you to those who reached out and networked to get this boy help and of course the doctors and staff who worked with our group and tried to save him..
