Today we say goodbye to a dear friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart and Gina DeLuca’s cousin, Josh Sheppard. Josh always looked for ways to help 4 Paws 1 Heart and in February 2012 he adopted one of 3 kittens rescued by a good samaritan and fostered by Gina. Josh named him Mr. Bill. Mr. Bill traveled all over the country with Josh but, unfortunately, this past summer, Mr. Bill crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Now Josh and his best buddy will again be together. This is the film Josh created to help raise money for the abandoned and abused. ~ diana

Sharla (aka Toko) – Found Wandering in an Abandoned, Vacant Home
1/19/15 – Sharla (aka Toko) – She is about one year old and was found wandering around in an abandoned home; she was probably left behind. She is very tiny and sweet and will be spayed this coming week. We are thankful, as always, for our friend Jo A. who took the call, Debra B. who transported her for vetting, and my personal friend of many years and new member of the 4 Paws 1 Heart Team, Angela R. for rescuing this baby. Anyone interested in adopting her should contact Jo at [email protected] ~ diana

Lily – Happy Update
Hello,
I just wanted to give you an update on Lily. On Wednesday I took her to get groomed. I believe this was her first time ever getting groomed. She was very matted and her nails were extremely long! We had to wait until she healed from surgery before we could make her the appointment. I took her to Healthy Paws to get groomed.
As you can see from the pictures below she is doing great! When I picked her up from grooming she had the biggest smile on her face and was so excited! Lily is best friends with our first rescue, Lilo. We also found out that Lily is not a Yorkie-Poo. She is a “Westie” which is a White Terrier.
I just wanted to thank you and 4 Paws 1 Heart again for everything! – Malak”
Bricks – Survived Parvo
“Diana,
I just wanted to Thank you again and give you an update on Bricks.
He is thriving! The vet suspects he may be a little older than we originally thought as his puppy canines are starting to fall out which means going on 6 months old. He was malnourished which could have a lot to do with his stunted growth and how sick he ended up being. He is eating puppy food now – 3 healthy meals a day. He loves to play but his favorite toy is tennis balls! He has gained 7 pounds since Christmas! He is set to be neutered at the end of this month and as soon as he heals will be placed up for adoption. smile emoticon
You made all of this possible! You are my hero!
Sincerely
Megan Blass”
