16 Dachshunds Found in a Hoarder’s Home
6/8/15 – We were happy to help our very good friends at A Hopeful Heart Animal Rescue with the medical bills for these poor animals being kept in a house of filth while the people attempted to sell them. Two puppies have already died of the Parvo Virus even though they were 4 months old. Had they been vaccinated as they should have been, they would still be alive. Once decompressed and healthy, these sweeties will be available for adoption through A Hopeful Heart. ~ diana

Kittens – Found in a Ditch – Now Safe and Loved
6/8/15 – Thank You, Kara, for not turning your back. It is a happy ending like this that makes all of the work worthwhile. ~ diana
“These babies were found abandoned in a ditch around 7 weeks old. Some of them had upper respiratory infections, I had to get them help so I got ahold of Four Paws One Heart. They helped me to get them to the vet for the help that they needed. 4 paws 1 heart helped with spaying and neutering, and vaccinations also. I’m so thankful for this rescue in helping me with these babies! They are all in great homes and are happy and healthy babies now! Thank you to 4 Paws 1 Heart ~ Kara”
Smokey Needs His Forever Home
Reaching out for help here. I have a cat named Smokey that needs to be rehomed or at best for now someone to foster him until he can be adopted. Smokey is 14 months old, an absolutely fabulous boy, neutered, UTD on shots and was front declawed, which broke my heart as he was orginally one of my babies from last year before I got involved with 4P1H. He is actually more like a dog, lol, trained to do tricks even. Long story short, His Daddy Ryan did not have him declawed, his girlfriend did and in the end the relationship ended. Ryan is moving to the West Coast for a new job which will keep him on the road for days at a time, and can only afford a flat. No room for Smokey and Ryan is broken hearted and reached out to me for help. Smokey needs a foster asap as Ryan is leaving by the 20th of this month. Here are some pics, if anyone has room for one fabulous kitty (I am overloaded here) please let me know. PS…he does well with children.

Kittens and a Caring Animal Control Officer in Warren, MI
6/7/15 – 4 Paws 1 Heart was happy to help Warren Animal Control Officer get these babies checked out and into Tigerlily Cat Rescue. At this time, it is still unknown as to whether they will need to see an eye specialist, but 4p1h is committed to following through with the great Dr. Easton of Veterinary Vision of Rochester Hills if needed. ~ diana

Sophia – Thrown Out of a Moving Truck on I-75, Michigan
6/6/15 – Meet Sophia and her new sibling Spot. Sophia was thrown out of a red truck on I-75 in Michigan. Fortunately for Sophia, a kind and observant young man saw the horrific action and rescued her. He then contacted a former teacher who contacted us. It just so happened that the teacher had recently rescued a cat from the street (Spot), so we offered to spay and neuter both cats as well las make sure they are healthy and vaccinated. I can’t grasp the level of cruelty it must take to throw a living creature out of a moving vehicle onto a highly-traveled highway. May the person/s who did that rot in hell – sooner than later. A huge thank you to the young man and to the teacher, Suki, who has decided to keep both Sophia and Spot. ~ diana
Thunder – Hit By A Car
6/4/15 – This little guy who we temporarily named “Thunder”, was found as a stray last week. He was hit by a car and suffering lung contusions and trauma to his front leg. A good Samaritan brought him to us for help. We provided funding for medical care to help stabilize him. The good Samaritan found the owner the next day. According to her Thunder gets out of the yard often. We tried to educate her and encourage microchipping him or putting some form of id on him. The owner was to follow up with medical care at their veterinarian. I will touch base to make sure that happened, but we really need owners to be more responsible over the well being of their animals. That pup could have died.. A dog doesn’t have much of a chance up against a moving vehicle. ~ Gina
