6/4/15 We were recently involved in helping this beautiful boy overcome Parvo Virus. He was surrendered, so that he could be given a chance to receive medical treatment. Parvo can be very deadly if not treated. It’s a virus that many unvaccinated puppies can get. This pup has survived his treatment and he needs a rescue to place him. Please let us know if you can help or private message us for more information. Gina

Neville – Rescued from the Streets
5/29/15 – This little guy was found by a good samaritan who was worried about his crusted eyes. She was happy to give him shelter and love but needed help with the medical. We are happy to say that Neville tested healthy with the exception of an upper respiratory infection. We continue to be happy that we can be there for those who can’t turn their backs. ~ diana
Chance, the Journalist
5/28/15 – Our little miracle guy is becoming quite the journalist. Love him~Aunti Di
“Chance here reporting from the Chance Inn! Lol. Thats what Auntie Diana Rascano calls our house cuz shes smart and knows I am in charge around here. What mom? No, no. I said you run things like a sarge around here! Please mom, Im trying to do my report…geez. Ok, so things been busy around here. We had 4 babies just long enough to give them a meal then they went to foster. Then last night we got the Pool Deck babies. There are 4 of them and there soooo cute, but real scared. Theyre about 5wks old and are staying in the other cat tower by me so I can keep an eye on them and reassure them they are safe. And the 3 itty bittys are still itty bitty. And they still sleep in the nursery right next to mom on her bed. They are preemies and require a lot of moms attention. Of course Im still numero uno! Top guy on the totem pole and moms best helper! What Oliver?!?!? What???? Ok, ok, best helper right after Oliver. Sheesh! Everybody’s soooo sensitive around here!!!! Ok, coming mom!!!! Gotta go do my exercises now with mom cuz tomorrow I go see my main squeeze, Dr. Kern atPawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets. What mom? Huh? Oops I almost forgot. Mom wants me to remind everybody with kitten season in full swing and animals like me still needing our care and medical bills paid 4 Paws 1 Heart could sure use a helping paw! Any and all donations are really needed and most appreciated. The link is 4paws1heart.org/donations/ the need is great right now! Thankyou and meow for now! Love Chance ( best reporter ever!) Haha, take that Oliver!” Chance
Pool Deck Kittens
5/28/15 – We received a call for help from a 4p1h friend. 4 kittens were under a pool deck without a mom. Our great friend and trapper extraordinaire, Debra Berolatti, trapped them and brought them for a temporary stay at the CHANCE INN (lol) We haven’t had time to have anyone vetted but they all look pretty healthy. We are looking for permanent adopters/fosters. A big thanks to all of our supporters for giving us the opportunity to save. The money runs out fast, so, if you have a few extra dollars, use the donate link on this page, our website, or send a check to P.O. Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080 — Again, we couldn’t do it without YOU!! ~ diana
Working Together – The Buster Foundation
5/28/15 – I can’t begin to tell our supporters how gratifying it is to be able to help such great rescue groups like the Buster Foundation. Sincere thanks to the team who saved this poor baby. If you are not familiar with this organization, please check them out. ~ diana
“What a difference a ride home from a veterinary clinic can make. The Buster Foundation sends bully heartfelt thanks to our friend Diana Rascano and those at 4 Paws 1Heart who work so hard to jump in and make a difference in the lives of animals everywhere” ~ The Buster Foundation
R.I.P Sweet Angelo
5/27/15 – RIP Sweet Angelo. Angelo was found on the street laying on top of his dead sibling. Although, he was seen twice by veterinarians for his upper respiratory infection and being treated, he just wasn’t strong enough. At least his final hours were wrapped in love. This is a photo of when he was first found. Thank You, Jennell, for trying and being there for all of the babies ~ diana.
Fosters and Adopters Needed
Dear Friends, foster homes are seriously needed for kittens — some requiring to be bottle fed because their moms were killed, and some already weaned but still needing homes. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] and we can get a foster application to you. Thanks!
Scam Alert Update – “Four Paws” Alleged Worldwide Organization
5/27/15 Update on potential scam alert from St. Clair Shores Councilwoman, Candice Rusie:
“4 Paws 1 Heart – City Clerk Mary Kotowski responded back that this other Four Paws group did not apply for or get a solicitation permit in SCS. If anyone knows exactly what group this was (like if you received written info from them), let me know so we can have the City Clerk contact them regarding our permit requirements. If anyone gets them on their porch again and they do not have a permit, please call police non-emergency ((586) 777-6700) – people seeking to get money or sell something need a permit in St. Clair Shores so we know who is going door to door looking for cash or to conduct a business transaction. (Just to spread information re something like politics or religion is an exception.) If there is a car available, an officer will ticket them and make them stop soliciting until a permit is obtained.”
