Bailey – After 7 Years, She Finds Herself Without a Home

7/28/15 – This beautiful 9 year old female was a victim of a puppy mill; at 2 years old she was adopted from a shelter. After 7 years in a home, she was again in need of a forever home and a chance to live out the few years she has left with people who will love and care for her. A friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart stepped up and took this senior girl into her home. 4 Paws 1 Heart will be taking care of her visit to a veterinarian so that she will be ready to start a new life with a new mom and fur siblings. ~ dianaBailey

Daisy – A Severe Eye InfectionWill Result in Her Losing Her Eye

7/27/15 – Daisy is going to need all of our help — donations and prayers. I will be calling an eye specialist this morning in hopes of getting her an emergency appointment to be seen by an opthamologist who will probably have to remove her eye. Here is her story:

Patricia Brown received a call about two very young kittens (Daisy and Bo) not being taken care of by their feral mother. The caller told Patrica that Daisy was in very bad shape, her eyes had green discharge pouring out of them and she was infested with fleas and severely malnourished and dehydrated. When Patricia was able to get them she honestly thought that Daisy wouldn’t make it. With funds provided by 4 Paws 1 Heart, Daisy and Bo were taken immediately to the veterinary and were given antibiotics and medicated eye drops; Daisy was given some fluids to give her a boost in that she was much less healthy than her sibling. They are around 3 weeks old and Daisy only weighs 12 oz, Bo is a little bigger than her.

Upon arriving home Patricia had to give them both a flea bath all the while not expecting Daisy to make it through; but, she turned out to be a little fighter. She was given just small drops of formula to get some nourishment in her and had to be watched to make sure she swallowed it, as she didn’t even attempt to suck on it. On her second feeding, she actually started to take it, although she struggled. By her third feeding she was willingly sucking the milk and after a short while she starting nibbling on fingers, so Patricia got her some pate’ on a spoon and the little sweetheart sucked up two teaspoons on the spot! At that point, Patricia prayed that she had a survivor.

Three days later, Daisy’s left eye was not healing up like her right eye was and Patricia noticed it was very swollen and now turning white. Daisy was returned to the veterinarian who advised that her eye is so badly ulcerated that it has to be removed but because she is so small, she will need a specialist.

Daisy is doing well as far as eating and has used the litter box. ~ dianadaisy**7:27:15 daisy7:27:15

Good morning Team Chance!!!!!! This is me at my appointment with Dr. Kern yesterday at Pawsitive Steps! Im getting my stretchys, my harness walking annnnd cart walking!!!! This cart is of course for a doggy and looks nothing like the one Im getting! Mine is going to be all streamlined and only 2 wheels, aluminum and custom made from my own measurements!!!!! Next Tuesday I will get measured for my cart for the purrrrfect fit by Dr. Kern. Rollo – Rescued from the Streets

7/25/15 – Please pray for Rollo as he goes through his heart worm treatment. Thank You, Heather B. Dubz Hayes for saving this handsome boy. And please, let this be a reminder to religiously use heart worm prevention for your dogs. Here’s a message from his rescuer~ diana

“Rollo, the sweet boy we are fostering, is going to be receiving the first Heartworm injection tonight. I am so sad that he has to go through this painful and potentially fatal treatment for something that could have been so easily avoided. Thank you again to 4 Paws for helping to give him a second chance.” – HeatherRollo7:23:15

EV – Rescued From the Streets

7/26/15 – Meet EV – This black beauty was wandering the streets and rescued by a caring woman who brought her to a clinic to be spayed. After the spay, EV developed what appeared to be a growth and EV’s rescuer contacted 4 Paws 1 Heart. EV was brought to a vet, complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Fortunately, it was not a growth or hernia but what the vet thought was an air sac; EV was also treated for an upper respiratory infection. Her rescuer fell in love with her and EV is now in a wonderful home. ~ dianaEV - 7:23:15

Firecracker – His Owners Played ‘Monkey in the Middle” With Him as They Threw Lit Fireworks

7/25/15 – As I’ve said before, the need has far exceeded my ability to post in a timely fashion. This is Firecracker. During the craziness of the 4th of July, he was in the middle of his ‘owners’ tossing lit fireworks between them. And, just before he ended up in the mouth of a large dog, a caring person rescued him. The owners gave him up and the rescuer will try to find this little guy a good home. 4 Paws 1 Heart was happy to pay for his vetting and neutering so that he will be ready for his new family. ~ dianafirecracker7:23:15

Jackson – Walked Into a School Looking For Love

7/22/15 – Meet Jackson!! Jackson is about 8 to 10 weeks old and was smart enough to walk into a school and follow a young woman around. She asked a teacher what to do because he seemed to want to “adopt” her, but he also seemed to have a wound on his rear. The teacher told the young woman that 4 Paws 1 Heart had helped her with a cat she had rescued and to contact us. Of course, because of all of our generous friends, we made arrangements to have Jackson examined and vetted. I think he will be one lucky cat. ~ dianajackson7:22:15
