9/28/15 – Meet Buddy Morley. He was rescued by a caring family after he had been hit by a car. Several different attempts were made to find his owner without success. The local sheriff was going to have him put down. Instead, the family took him to an emergency vet and asked if we could help. Although donations have been slower than I can ever remember, we said YES so that Buddy Morley could be released today to this family who will give him a forever, loving home. ~ diana

Rufus – His Owner No Longer Wanted Him
9/26/15 Please consider donating today. In addition to the usual vetting and spaying/neutering that goes on with every animal we assist, we are currently committed to assisting in a few very expensive cases. This is in addition to the ongoing care of Sommerset, Chance and Magic who will be fitted with a brace. This is Rufus. He is a 162 pound Mastiff whose owner was tired of having him around and was going to have him euthanized at the shelter. A caring woman heard of Rufus’ fate and with our help, had Rufus surrendered to her. She took Rufus to the vet for a health check and learned he was heart worm positive. Because of his size, the cost of treatment will be substantial but between 4 Paws 1 Heart and her own fundraising efforts, we will make sure that Rufus gets the life saving treatment he needs. ~ diana
