Fluffy – Alone on the Streets; Now in a Warm Home Hoping to be Adopted

1/21/16 – We are so happy to hear from the many Good Samaritans who don’t turn their back on the homeless. We fund the medical treatment and they provide shelter and forever homes — the perfect partnership. Here is a message from our 4p1h friend, Kathy Bl., who, since she sent me this message, has captured two more cats from the bitter cold and 4p1h paid for the medical treatment. This is Bootsie and Fluffy. It truly takes a village to make a difference! ~ diana

“Diana, I just want to thank you and your Team and the Partners that take care of the needs of all our loving furry friends.
I have never been more excited to help rescue and make a difference in our fur babies lives!! Cutie was the first kitten I rescued and she is happy and healthy in a home where she is treated like a princess. Bootsie is the second rescue and she’s very gentle and loving. She will be living with me and my family. I’m making great progress socializing her. The third rescue I call Fluffy and we will try to socialize her as well after she has been spayed. Fingers crossed that she can also have a furever home!!
Thank 1:21:16you again
Kathy”

Christian Grey – He Swallowed a Screw and Battled Toxicity

1/21/16 – Christian Grey Update.christiangrey1:21:16 This handsome fella, about 4 months old, came to us last week. He couldn’t breathe, there was a screw in his stomach, and he was in critical condition. We offered to take over his medical care so that he could have the chance to live. Now, he is doing so good! The doctor that saved his life took him home for the day to hang out and get him out of the hospital. Here is her cousin Emily giving Christian all kinds of love during the car ride home. We are looking for a rescue to take him in and find his forever home. For more information please contact me at [email protected]

Noelle – She Was Dying from the Parvo Virus – Today She is Well and Loved

1/20/16 – Just a little update on our Noelle (aka Noel). You might remember that she was brought into the Emergency dying of Parvo. She had already lost a sibling from another litter to Parvo but her owners kept breeding the mother. She is so beautiful and we are so thrilled that she is now in a very loving home. Here is a message from Noel’s new parents, the Morrises. I’ve included her ‘before’ photo and her new photos including one with her feline sibling.~ diana

“My husband, Ed and I would like to thank Gina DeLuca for helping us in getting Noelle (Noel). Especially our daughter-in-law, Amanda Morris, who’s a Vet Tech (Manager at Advanced Animal Emergency) who told us about her. It was love at first sight for me! We have had Noel for 3 weeks today and she has been such a joy to us. She’s gained about 10 lbs and is doing wonderful and has adjusted very well. She has a lot of energy and loves to run around and play outside. She loves to go for walks. She has been very easy to train and we even have her say “Grace” before meals…too cute! She loves the snow, but not too crazy about the rain. We have a cat, Belize who has accepted Noel and they both like to sleep on either side of me. They get along well and we are confident that they’ll be best buds one day. We can’t be any happier having her in our lives. She has a FOREVER home with us and we love her so much!”Noelle1:20:16Noelle - Adopted 1:20:16Noelle - 1:20:16Noelle - 1:20::16

Karma – His Infection Was So Severe, He Almost Lost an Eye

1/17/16 – Remember Karma? He was rescued from the streets; emaciated and with a severe upper respiratory infection. His rescuer took him to a vet who recommended his eye be removed. When we were contacted by the rescuer, we decided to get one more opinion. The doctor diagnosed Karma with herpes of the eye and felt that eye removal was not needed. Karma, like our boy Snickers, would just need eye drops when he has flare ups. I am so thankful that Andrea offered to take this sweet boy in and for our great friends at Tigerlily for taking him into their rescue. Wishing our sweet boy a lifetime of chasing catnip filled mice. ~ dianakarma1:17:16
