Autumn – Rescued from an Abusive Situation

2/16/19 – Prayers, please, for Autumn. She was recently rescued from an abusive situation. She is only 4 months old and was allegedly vaccinated but no one has been able to get records. Over the last two days, she has been vomiting and has diarrhea. We were able to get her into a vet last night and a parvo test was done and was negative but the doctor wants to follow up with a lab. In the mean time, she is back with her rescuer after receiving fluids and meds. We will keep everyone updated. ~ diana

Bob and Simon – Update

2/14/19 – Happy Update #2 – Simon and Bob have a true Bromance. Although we tried, Simon is unable to walk and Bob continues to have issues with IBS and asthma, BUT they are both very loved and in love. You can read about their journeys and how Simon was thrown out in 8″ of snow by an inhumane landlord on our website. Here they are today and one year ago. – diana

Bonnie and Clyde – Found on a Detroit Freeway

2/14/19 – A perfect Valentine story for Valentine’s Day. Meet Bonnie and Clyde. Both were seen on the side of a freeway in Detroit.  bonnie 2:14:19 Clyde 2:14:19Upon seeing them, a caring man pulled his car over and was able to catch Bonnie. Then another caring man pulled over and helped with catching Clyde. The rescuer then contacted police and Detroit Animal Control and took them to a vet to scan for a microchip — nothing. The rescuer was allowed to keep the dogs during the stray hold and while attempts were made to find an owner — still no owner came forward. Bonnie and Clyde quickly became attached to the rescuer who is in the process of moving into a new home which will be perfect for them. Love is all around. – diana

Trixie – Sees Dr. Zalac

2/13/19 – Update on our little Trixie. We don’t know yet as to whether she will need FHO surgery but if she does, the cost is considerable. And, we have already covered half of Trixie’s medial treatment at the emergency hospital because the City from which she was rescued, understandably, has a limit on how much they can medically pay for any animal rescued. Trixie has also been seen by one of our favorite vets, Dr. Natalie Zalac of Orion Animal Hospital. Donations have been very slow, so anything you can afford would be greatly appreciated. ~ diana

“CHANCE: Mom got to visit with our little angel nugget Trixie today. She cleaned her ears and they are looking a lot better, she got some Paw moisturizer on her little paws, and of course lots & lots of love & snuggles! Trixies doing a great job eating and pottying now, but still not really walking around much. We’ll see what Dr. Z says Thursday about weather or not the FHO surgery will be needed.
Careful mom, I know that look…you’re falling hard for Trixie…but then again who wouldnt? 💞 As always, we cant do what we do for these sweet, innocent babies without the medical backing of 4 Paws 1 Heart.”trixie 2:12:10 trixie 1 -2:12:19

Noel – Needs Our Prayers

I am desperately asking for your prayers and for a miracle. In Jan 2016 I was working at emergency when this beautiful girl that we named Noel, was brought in. She was dying of Parvo virus. The family could not afford to treat medically, they were breeding to sell pups for money, and they decided to bring her home despite my offer to surrender her to 4 paws 1 heart for care. A couple days later they brought her back offering to surrender her because she was on the brink of death. We immediately provided the most aggressive care for parvo treatment which involved a blood transfusion, medications, days of hospitalization and IV fluids. This little 5 month old pup was so dehydrated and had lost so much weight, but she survived. I used a couple sweaters that belonged to my dog so that she could keep warm while she was hospitalized.

She made a full recovery and was adopted into a very loving home. The best home I could ask for. I have just received news that she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I am begging for prayers. I have posted a few before and after pictures along with a couple messages from her mom from when she was initially adopted. It is not fair.. My heart is breaking for this family. Rick – Found an an Auto Shop – Update

rick 2:11:19UPDATE: 2/13/19 – Rick’s IFA tested showed his is negative for FIV and FeLV.

2/12/19 – His fur was covered in oil and other remnants found in an auto shop. God bless the men who rescued Rick, our good friend Denise Najerawho contacted us, and our other great friend, Cortney Kleiner who took Rick in while trying to find a permanent home. ~ diana

“CHANCE: It must be the day for awesome pics!
First Billy, then Puddy…and can you guess who this is? Its Rick!!! The kitty that was rescued by the awesome guys at the auto shop. Doesnt he look amazing thanks to the love & care of his foster mom Cortney Kleiner. Rick has had all his shots & his neuter and if you remember Rick tested positive for felv, Feline Leukemia. So besides all the medical mentioned above 4 Paws 1 Heart also paid for Rick to have an IFA test which is the gold standard in testing cats with a positive for felv. Sometimes a regular snap test can give a false positive so this test will be 99% accurate and aide in placement for Rick. We are still waiting for the results and hoping to gave them tomorrow. But can we all agree Rick looks sooooo much better!!!! Thankyou Cortney & 4p1h for going that extra mile to give Rick his Second Chance”rick 2:1:19
