2/8/23 – Piggy was rescued when an independent group of people were doing regularly scheduled feeding of feral dogs. We were contacted for help and thankfully we could say yes. Unfortunately, Piggy was found to be positive for heart worm–like so many abandoned/stray dogs in our communities. He was seen by one of our great doctors at Patterson Veterinary and will be started on his pre-injection exams. Then, when appropriate he will be neutered and vaccinated. Melissa, his rescuer, could actually use assistance in finding a rescue, experienced foster, or, or course, a furever home, for Piggy.
