PLEASE KEEP DONNY BOY IN YOUR PRAYERS

3/22/24 – A very kind woman who is scheduled for back surgery in April, couldn’t turn her back on this poor cat in need. She found him in a mobile home park where several of the homes are being torn down. He had an obvious issue with his eye and after being rescued, his rescuer was able to take a closer look at the eye and she thinks it is gone. He has an appointment scheduled for March 27 and we’ve asked the rescuer to keep in contact with the clinic just in case an opening pops up.- diana

ZILLOW

3/22/24 – The ‘Irene $1,000 Memorial Match’ is in high gear and this is the perfect opportunity to double your donation as we continue to cover the medical needs of so many stray and abused animals on our streets.

Zillow was pulled out of a garage with another dog. Make a Difference Rescue accompanied the Michigan State Police to save him. I’m sure there is more to this story but the bottom line is that, once again, a village came together, including law enforcement, to give abused animals a second chance. I do not know anything about the second dog but we were thankful to be able to help by covering Zillow’s vaccines, testing, and neuter. If you are interested in this handsome boy, please contact Make a Difference Rescue. – diana YOUR DONATIONS SAVE LIVES

HOPE

Hope was surrendered to me 2 days ago so that she could receive medical treatment through 4 Paws 1 Heart. She will now experience the live and kindness she so desperately needs..

Her is her story…

Meet “Hope”

I received an email last week from a young girl in Detroit who said that 3 months ago the neighbor tossed this girl outside and moved out of the home. What’s worse is they took her litter of kittens and dumped her like garbage. I communicated back and forth all week with this sweet young girl who noticed injuries to the side of the shoulder/neck area, likely from an attack. She temporarily brought kitty inside but needed help wth placement and medical treatment. Everyone is full and on top of it she was moving back home this weekend wth patents and would have to put Hope back outside to fend for herself.

I contacted a board member Dee and told her the story. She jumped into action and said get her here and we will figure it out!!!

Dee named the kitty Hope, for a hopeful future with no more pain, hunger, or fear.

Two days ago the neighbor surrendered her to me and we have run several tests. Hope knows we are helping and she has been extremely sweet and tolerant.

Her right eye has uveitis secondary to trauma, she has several punctures, she’s thin, her bloodwork shows anemia, so the goal is get her treatment done and address the basics like vaccines and Spay surgery in a couple weeks.

Please, if you would like to help Hope here is the link and your donationis doubled because we have a match going on for 2 weeks!♡ An estimate for her treatment, tests, meds, and vetting is about $600. Gina

CRUZ WILL BE AVAILABLE

3/21/24 – Double your donation during the Irene $1,000 Memorial Match in honor of a good friend’s mother who recently passed away. As our friend wrote recently:

“Remembering Mom and Dad who always believed in the welfare and protection of all animals~great and small~in need of help, homes and love. Thank you for all the vulnerable little ones you are able to help and care for with all the generous and thoughtful donors.”

And, yes, it’s animals like Cruz, vulnerable after being thrown out by a shelter and so emaciated when he was rescued by Make a Difference Rescue that he could not receive immediate vaccines because he was ‘skin and bones’. We were thankful to pay for Cruz’s vaccines, neuter, and testing. He will be available for adoption through Make a Difference Rescue. – diana

MINNIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! “IRENE MEMORIAL MATCH” BEGINS

UPDATE 3/20/24 – Just learned from the Rescue that Minnie has been adopted. YEAH!!!

3/20/24 – IRENE $1,000 MEMORIAL MATCH STARTS TODAY! A long time friend of 4 paws 1 heart lost her mom recently. Over the years our friend has not only donated financially but she would pick up and deliver pet food which we would distribute, she was a foster failure for a couple of animals we had helped and she has done transport for animals to medical facilities. She contacted me recently to give me the sad news of her mom’s passing and said that she would like to initiate a $1,000 Match in memory of her mom, Irene, who also loved all animals.

Please help us reach the $1,000 goal within the next two weeks. It starts today and will end April 3, 2024. Please note “Irene Memorial Match” in your donation. And we thank you so very much in advance because with the support of our Village we are able to continue to help animals like Minnie who we recently helped with her medical which included complications during her spay.

Minnie was recently rescued by Make a Difference Rescue. Minnie was found laying in a vacant backyard in Detroit. She is now on the road to recovery and if you are interested in this beautiful girl, please contact Make a Difference Rescue. – diana

SPRING BABIES

3/19/24 – Well, tonight is the official beginning of Spring and the need keeps getting greater for the cats and dogs on our streets. Babies are being born, abandoned animals are getting injured and ill, and the veterinary clinics, especially, the low cost clinics, are overwhelmed as are the rescue groups. Funds go out faster than they come in but we are thankful for our many donors and supporters who continue to get us through these tough days.

This is Baby. Over the last few years, the woman who contacted us has been helping out a lady in Detroit with the strays she cares for. She gets them tnr’d, provides them shelters for the winter, and buys food. Baby is a friendly that she brought inside; he has been inside for a few weeks. But, recently she noticed that he was attacking his tail and yells in pain. With further examination, it appears he has puncture wounds but difficult to tell the extent because of the long fur. Baby has been authorized to be seen at one of our partner clinics and we pray that some antibiotics and topical care will take care of Baby’s medical needs. – diana
