Sherlock – Walked Through a Doggie Door and Found His Forever Family

6/27/15 – I was contacted by Joani and Patterson Veterinary about this little guy who somehow found his way into the doggie door of Joani’s home. His ear was tipped and he was neutered. It turns out that Sherlock was one of the cats taken in by the Macomb County Animal Control SNR (shelter, neuter, return) program. Sherlock obviously had a home at one time because he is very sweet and enjoys being in the house. Thankfully he has wormed his way into the hearts of the grandchildren and the fur children and will have a forever home. 4 Paws 1 Heart is once again very thankful that we can provide the medical care that will open sherlock6:27:15the doors for a forever home. I love his stance. ~ diana

Smokey – Looking for His Forever Home

smokey6:7:156/25/14 – The Cats of Early Summer. And this is how your donations are being spent. Starting with Smokey who would be the perfect cat for anyone but especially someone looking for a great companion. He is declawed, lovable, and loves to be on your lap. Please share and let’s try to get this boy in his own home. ~ diana

Smokey is looking for his furever home. He is 15 months old, born on 03/31/2014, is neutered, UTD on shots and FIV/LEU negative.
He is front declawed and has the sweetest nature. Smokey is extremely smart, has been taught how to high 5 and sit, has been trained using treats and a clicker. He adjusts to new surroundings quite fast, only took a few days at his foster home with Megan to start exploring, playing with her other cats and is already crawling on strangers laps and sleeping with his foster mommy! He has not been around dogs, gets along with other cats and older children. If you want a sweet natured cat to be a part of your family, please contact: Megan at 586-209-8088 or email: [email protected].

Helena – Once Living in a Junkyard With a Severe Eye Infection – Loved and Safe

6/24/15 – Some of our friends may remember our girl, Helena. She was found in very rough shape in a junkyard in Taylor, MI in January, 2014 . Our good friend Nicole N. rescued her and contacted us. Unfortunately, it was necessary to have an eye removed and many of our friends donated for her medical bills and care. I can’t express the happiness I feel in seeing Helena today, being loved in her forever home. Here she is today and just after her eye was removed. ~ dianaHelena6:24:15helenabefore

Our Newest Video – Some of the Abandoned and Abused from 2012

6/23/15 – Although I wrote the stories while Gina lived them, I can’t help but get emotional as I view this video once again. This video just depicts a few of the animals we helped in 2012 and we’ve yet to capture some of the stories from 2013, 2014, and some of 2015. What we don’t lack in heart, spirit, and supporters, we do lack in the time and talent to make these videos. The tears these videos evoke are strange because in most cases they are tears that these animals had to suffer but than tears of joy because they have been able to go on to a new life because of our mission and our supporters. But, we cannot help but be heartbroken because of those we couldn’t save. Here is our most recent video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHDkFgQhc3o

Rudy – Found Walking Across a Busy Street

6/21/15 – More Happy Father’s Day Updates! We received the following call out for help from Jen G on June 1, 2015:

“My sister found a kitten yesterday walking across a busy road. The poor thing was filthy, covered in mud and freezing in the rain. She brought her to me and I gave her a bath and some wet food but I need to get her to a vet. Her anus is very red and protruding and I think she has worms (I don’t know if it’s a male or female). She went to the bathroom today but she seems to really be straining. I will foster her and I want to adopt her but I have two other rescue cats at home and I need to make sure she’s ok. Can you please help me? She purred the entire time I held her yesterday and wouldn’t let me put her down for 5 hours. She’s very affectionate and didn’t bite or scratch so I know she will make a wonderful pet. PLEASE help me ~ Jen”.

Well here is Rudy now and when he was first rescued. BTW, he is the love of the family. ~ diana
