7/3/134 After receiving this call for help, 4 Paws 1 Heart responded and took care of medical expenses which included minor treatment for the wound. The finder still has not found the owner of ‘Dingo’ and continues to foster him. ~ diana
“I was recommended to you by NBS animal rescue. My brother had a dog show up at his house, we don’t know who it belongs to but it has a very serious open wound, almost like a deep hole and several other wounds.
This dog is young, appears to be still a pup and is very very nice and gentle. We are concerned for its health and although we could foster it if no owner is found, we cannot help with medical treatment as we are unemployed at this time. It also looks as if it has been away from home for a long time or possibly abandoned.
Can your organization help or can you please recommend someone who might. This is a great dog, he was even playing with the kids although you can tell he is in pain. We feel very bad and desperately want to help him, he is definately infected in his wound.
thank you”
6/25/13 He had an injury to his rear leg. A Pit Bull Mix and 4 Paws 1 Heart fixed him up. His foster mom (Julie) decided to adopt him and he is here cuddling with Julie’s grandson on the couch. Our good friends from Misfit Angels took him under their wing to help us with placement into a forever home. ~ diana
6/24/13 – We are thankful for all of the hardworking and caring rescue organizations who continue to respond to calls for help, search the streets, and attempt to educate animal owners on the proper care of dogs and cats. This is Kip who, unfortunately, had to be humanely euthanized because of Parvo. He was rescued with two siblings who are doing better and are in the hospital. We’re sending medical dollars with prayers to help Fetch Dog Rescue. ~ diana
HAPPY ENDING UPDATE: Last week we reported on a sweet girl who was rescued by a caring Detroit Police Officer. The Officer contacted Gina and 4 Paws 1 Heart took her in, paid for her vetting and then put out a call for help. Fortunately, Kathryn, a face book friend contacted us and matched the little orphan with her friend, Lizzy. Our little girl, now named Stella, has a fur brother and a beautiful, loving forever home. ~ diana
6/23/13 Once again we are happy to be able to help our rescue friends in their efforts. This is Petunia who was rescued by Home Fur-Ever; medical dollars have been sent her way with much love. ~ diana

Our wonderful friends at 4 Paws 1 Heart are once again donating funds to one of the dogs of HFE. Please take a minute to go to their page and like it and tell them HFE sent you. This is Petunia. She was found in some bushes in Detroit in early May. She had to be anestized because she was so matted and she had terrible dermatitis that had caused her skin to develop Elephant skin, which is a toughening and thickening of the skin from severe allergies. She had it all over her neck, one ear, her back thigh and down her leg and all four paws She had two huge mammary tumors removed, as well as a chain of smaller tumors from her other nipples. She lost six out of her nine nipples. She was also spayed and had her ears flushed. She had 43 staples from her mid chest down to her groin. Petunia is recovering nicely in her foster home and her foster mom is very smitten with her. Thanks again 4 Paws 1 Heart for your continued support!~HFE
6/21/13 Jane’s Story — When I read about Jane, my heart broke and I knew 4 Paws 1 Heart just had to help. Living in a vacant house, she was attacked by a pack of dogs and would have surely been killed. Thankfully, Laura of Mutts of Motown, rescued this girl and made her what she is today. It was also our lucky day. Because of Jane, Laura and her Mutts of Motown, is a great rescue friend. Here’s is Laura’s news ~ diana:
“This morning, our Jane, who was attacked by a pack of dogs in Detroit, then tested positive for heartworm, got a total heartworm free, clean bill of health. Thanks to 4 Paws 1 Heart, for helping with her costly heartworm treatment. Thanks to Rakestraw Animal Hospital for spending so much time and care during her pre treatment testing, her treatments, and follow ups. It seems sometimes to take an entire village to rescue one of these sweethearts!! We’re happy to say this girl is friendly with everyone she meets, but is, understandably afraid of other dogs. Shes ready and waiting for her family to find her with Mutts of Motown Rescue!! Thanks again.” Laura
6/12/13 Meet Daley: He came in with an embedded collar and was emaciated. He was living in an abandoned house in Detroit. A young girl was taking him one slice of bread a day; that’s what he survived on until Paws N’Claws was contacted. Unfortunately, he was tested positive for heart worm and 4 Paws 1 Heart offered to help with some medical dollars. He is a black and white boxer/pit mix with a heart of gold. All of us at 4 Paws 1 Heart are thankful for our ability to help our rescue friends in their mission to save the abandoned and abused. ~ diana
