1/17/17 – Update on Miss Mocha Latte and Lil’ Munchkin. It was in September that Miss Mocha was rescued by a very kind person who knew of us through her mother. Within four days, Miss Mocha had two kittens in a difficult delivery. Mama Mocha and her Lil’ Munchkin were kept by her rescuer. We…
1/16/17 – It won’t be long until we will be in full-blown kitten season but right now we seem to be in ‘heart-worm season’. From my experience, it seems many dogs are ‘dumped’ when the owner learns their dog has heart worm. I cannot condone ‘dumpiing’ any animal on the streets, forcing them to fend…

Rosie Roo, the 15 year old girl, found wandering the streets alone, severely matted and nails so long she could barely walk — and let us not forget with mammary tumors and an ulcer in her eye….
1/15/17 – Once again, our hearts were broken this weekend by the loss of this very sweet, semi-feral kitty, George. I received a call for help from the caretaker of a cat colony in Macomb County. She had been caring for George for over a year and Saturday he showed up dragging his body and…

Anyone interested in this sweetheart should contact our friend, Roberta at erdesignsmore@yahoo.com (she also has a few other kitties that she rescued and whom we’ve helped with medical). ~ diana “Well Dexter…
1/11/17 – For those friends who’ve been with us a while, you’ll remember how Carlos came into our lives. He had been passed around a number of times and was finally surrendered to the Macomb County Animal Shelter. At that time, he had a tumor that had recently burst and later we found out that…
1/10/17 – It was one month ago when we were having our almost sub-zero weather when a friend we’ve helped before contacted us about this beauty he had just come across. Her eye appeared to be infected and her belly was quite large – we didn’t know if it was worms or babies. She has…
1/10/17 – We were contacted by Make A Difference Rescue asking if we could help with a stray dog they had just rescued the night before. Palmer was thin, dirty and holding up his rear leg when a volunteer for the group came across him. He was immediately taken to Wilson’s Veterinary where it was…
