8/1/17 – It is August 1 already and the calls for help keep coming. This is Nightwhing and Tiger. The family kept hearing scratching under their home. The parents and son went searching under their home and found these two babies. One has found his permanent home and the other is now with a Rescue. We were happy to be there to take care of their initial medical treatment. ~ diana
Karl – Still Struggling
7/31/17 – Prayers for sweet Karl. Please. – diana
Hello Team, please welcome Karl ❤ Im sure you remember the 4 little orange kittens we’ve been posting. Karl is the one who had the abscessed eye that ruptured. He went to the vet again today and because of all he’s been going through with first his upper respiratory and then his ruptured eye, he now weighs only 12oz at 7wks old. Although he was getting great care it was decided he should come to our house because mom is home all day and able to give him the 24hr special care he now needs to gain weight to prepare for the eye surgery he needs. This was his 3rd vet visit in a week thanks to 4 Paws 1 Heart and he will have another visit in 2 days. Today he received more meds, subQ fluids and a B12 shot. Mom is syringe feeding a formula of kitten food mixed with KMR and also supplementing with a high calorie nutrition supplement to help him gain weight. Please keep little Karl in your prayers, he has a long road ahead of him. Thank you 4 Paws 1 Heart, Jo A. and Auntie Debra, takes a village

Bumper – Found in a Warehouse – Update
7/31/17 – Bumper was rescued from a warehouse property. A kind man named him “Bumper” because his one eye was so bad, he kept running into things. The kind man took Bumper home and 4 Paws 1 Heart paid for the surgery to remove his eye. Bumper may have lost an eye but he gained a new loving life. ~ diana
Remy – He Almost Died From Parvo Virus
7/31/17 – Just because I have posted so many sad cases the last couple of days, I wanted to share this very happy news with you. You may remember Remy. He was found running near a major highway. He became ill, and, after a visit to the Michigan Humane Society clinic, it was suspected that he had Parvo. The family contacted us because they had already fallen in love but couldn’t afford any more medical visits. Remy was seen at Advanced Animal Emergency first who then worked with Dr. Gary at Centerline Veterinary so that Remy could be treated as outpatient. Between the very caring rescuers and the wonderful doctors who work with us, Remy is a healthy, happy, and very loved boy. Here is Remy just 24 days ago and today. He will be soon neutered and vaccinated, complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart and our generous donors. ~ diana
Baby – Could Not Survive the Ravages of an Upper Respiratory Infection
7/31/17 – RIP Sweet Baby. Our friends, Kelly Hook and Dee Dee, contacted us about 3 kittens they were able to get. They had hundreds of fleas over their entire bodies; their gums were white. Unfortunately, this sweetheart was too far gone to save. The siblings were given flea baths and appear to be doing well. Thank God for the many loving people like Kelly and Dee Dee (and their families) who give up so much of their lives and hearts to save those most vulnerable. ~ diana
Bridget – Rescued With a Severe Upper Respiratory Infection
7/31/17 – Bridget was rescued from the street with a severe upper respiratory infection. She has been to the vet twice and we are praying that her last visit will finally clear up this horrible illness. She is a beauty and once she is healthy, she will be available for adoption. Contact Karen at: [email protected] . ~ diana
Smitty – Rescued Too Late – RIP
7/31/17/17 – Far too many sick kittens on the streets — dying or losing eyes. Here is another 4-5 week old kitten found in a shelter in a caring person’s backyard. He was discovered without a mom and hasn’t been eating. He was taken to the emergency vet yesterday but, unfortunately, his illness was too far gone to make it. RIP Sweet Smitty. ~ diana
Frankfort – Rescued Too Late – RIP
7/30/17 – RIP Sweet baby. Our friend, Rachel Gerstner and I were tagged in a posting about this kitten seen lying under a box. Rachel immediately went to get him while I called Advanced Animal Emergency to authorize the medical. Unfortunately, Frankfort, (no one should die without a name) passed away on the ride to the emergency. We don’t know how many people must have passed by this little guy who was only about 8-10 weeks old but we do thank God for those who did care enough to try and get help. Unfortunately, there are far too many of these sweet animals dying and suffering. Thank You, Rachel Gerstner, for caring and giving him love at the end. ~ diana
Sweet Jack – Rescued From the Street With a Severe Eye Issue
7/30/17 – This summer has been overwhelming with the number of dogs and cats needing help. And, not just spay/neuter and vaccines. Serious issues, such as heart worm, upper respiratory infections, limb removals, eye removals. In the past seven years we have helped over 4,000 animals and just because of the “nature of the beast”, we are once again in the position of taking care of an overwhelmingly number of cats. Over the next few days, I will be sharing their stories. This is Sweet Jack. He was rescued by one of the rescue organizations with whom we work. We covered his initial vet visit where it was determined that he has extra tissue under his eye. He will be scheduled to see a specialist and we pray that we will be able to help this sweetheart. ~ diana
Karl – One of the 4 Orange Kittens Found Very Ill in a Backyard
7/29/17 – Please say a prayer for Karl. Because he is only 1.3 lbs., a standard veterinary doesn’t have the equipment needed for surgery. We will be trying to get Karl into Veterinary Vision of Rochester ASAP. Thank you to Debra Berolatti for insisting that he be seen again. He is resting comfortably with pain meds. ~ diana
