Snow Cat, Kasey, Rosie, Hope, and Blackie – Rescued

11/21/17 – I continue to give thanks to the many individuals who provide shelter and food to cat communities and, in the process, often find kittens who can be socialized and made healthy with the help of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Thank you to Brooke Comfort with Snow Cat II, Debra Berloatti with Casey, Rosie with Rachel Gerstner, Hope with Hope Wilson and Blackie with Kathy.snow cat 11:21:17kasey 11:21:17rosie 11:21:17hope 11:21:17blackie 10:22:17

Saved by Zade Kittens – Found on the Side of a River- Critically Ill

11/20/17 – During this week of giving Thanks I would like to sincerely thank all of those who literally save the lives of animals who have been abandoned and abused. Very often they put their own lives on the line and if not their lives, their time, their money, their hearts. One such group is from Jackson, MI, Saved by Zade. I believe I reported on this very moving rescue when we were first contacted. A mom and 4 kittens, who had obviously been in someone’s home, had been found on the side of a river near a park and a fishing bridge. One kitten was covered in maggots and he eventually died, but not before the wonderful rescuers were able to bathe him and love him. He died in one of their arms. Another kitten, Helen, needed both eyes removed immediately and an amazing doctor at Snow Animal Health Care did this for free. Two other kittens needed eye removal; and we committed to helping with this surgery when the time came. They had their surgeries two weeks ago and are doing great.
As winter approaches, please say a little prayer each night for all of these animals who have either been born in the wild or who have been thrown out by their owners. And, please, do whatever you can to be a part of the solution – rescue, donate, foster, adopt. Thanks, diana

Cats/Kittens – Found With Upper Respiratory Infections and Flea Infested

11/19/17 – This is the week I would like to thank all of the people who stop their lives and open their hearts to the abandoned and abused. Amy B. is one of those people who we’ve helped with dogs and cats. Here are a few of Amy’s recent rescues who we helped with upper respiratory infections, spay/neuter, vaccines, and everything else that goes with making a rescued animal healthy again. Thank you to our donors for helping us make miracles happen. AND, don’t forget to look out for the Giving Tuesday (November 28, 2017) opportunity to double your money.~ diana

Belle – Her Tail was Wrapped with Rubber Bands

11/17/17 – This is Belle. Her tail was wrapped in rubber bands so that it would purposely fall off. People are so disgusting. And, now she needs to have her tail surgically removed to save her life. Although we continue to be low on funds, we are thankful to provide some help to the many rescues and rescuers who continue to give up so much to save these tortured and abused animals. Thank You to Bully Love Rescue. ~ dianabelle w:terissa kerr november:2017

Chance (II) – Update

11/17/17 – An update from Chance’s rescuer, Cortney.

chance - cortney kleiner 11:9:17chance w:cortney kleiner 11:9:17chance 11:9:17“It’s coming to be time for Chance’s checkup, just a recap for those that may have missed it, Chance had her liver enzymes retested at our last appointment, they were still elevated, she was also given an ultrasound to see if she was spayed. She is not spayed. However, her body is not stable enough to undergo surgery until her liver enzymes have decreased. She is fattening up and playing like a champ. In order to get her to the vet for a recheck we NEED donations to be directly donated to 4 Paws 1 Heart and note that it is for Chance. This organization does more than enough for everyone in my position that is trying to independently save animals without the proper resources. Tax time is coming around and your donations to 4 Paws 1 Heart IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE! We need your help to get Chance healthy! Look at her! She wants to live! – Cortney”

Flower and Walnut – Found at Just 4 Weeks Old With Severe Upper Respiratory Infections

11/16 17 – This is Flower and Walnut. The rescuer returned from her honeymoon to find these little 4-week old, one-ounce babies all by themselves. Although the rescuer is allergic, she took them into her home and contacted us for help. The babies had upper respiratory infections which were treated and were eventually vaccinated and dewormed. The rescuer’s daughter decided to make them her own and today they are looking great and doing even better. A huge thanks to the many individuals who find animals on the streets and don’t turn their backs. ~ dianaflower and walnut 11:16:17
