Angel – RIP Sweet Baby
3/31/18 – “We don’t know why God brings these babies to us and then sometimes he decides he needs one back with him. But what we do know is that we were blessed to have 3 days to love this little girl till she took her last breath cuddled up on moms chest. Thankyou everybody for loving her with us. Special thankyou to Auntie Dee & Aunt Shelly We love you sweet girl, we’ll see you at the Bridge 💞- Denise”
Max – RIP Sweet Kitten
4/2/18 – Unfortunately, another of the babies, found at just one-day old, died this morning. Please promote spay/neuter. All About Animals Rescue has free spay/neuter for feral cats during the entire month of April. Please take advantage so that we can stop the overwhelming reproduction of unwanted cats. ~ diana
Mama – She Had a Large Open Wound and Now She is Paralyzed
4/2/18 – Mama appeared at a caring person’s home with a large open wound on her back. The homeowner took in Mama and cared for her wound which eventually healed after two weeks. Unfortunately, the rescuer could not afford to have Mama seen by a vet and she wasn’t aware of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Although the wound has healed, Mama can no longer use her back legs. Mama was seen on Friday and after blood work and x rays were completed, nothing definitive could be found to determine why she can no longer walk. Although she doesn’t appear to have an infection, she was given antibiotics. The initial infection caused by her wound may have affected her spine. I have been in contact with Dr. Kern of Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets and Mama will be seeing her in the next few weeks. Please say a prayer for this very sweet kitty who is estimated to be about 5-6 years old. ~ diana
Max, Angel, Ruby and Bunny – Rescued Without Their Mom at Just One-Day Old
4/1/18 – A Happy and Blessed Easter to all of our supporters. On this day of the Resurrection, I am thankful for all of the caring people who have made it possible for over 4,500 animals to be given a second chance at life. At the same time, all of these animals will never reproduce again. To date, we have paid over $615, 000 in medical bills; but, unfortunately, the need never seems to stop. Every day this past week there was a new animal in need — from heart worm to paralysis to amputations.
Your donations make it possible. If you would like to make a difference, you can make a donation through paypal by using the ‘donate’ link on the left side of this page or by mail at P.O. Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
It truly takes a village and these little babies are a perfect example. Their mom got scared and left them behind; they were only a couple of days old. One of our Board members brought the babies to Chance’s mom who has been syringe/bottle feeding them every two hours while we are still in search of the mom. Two of the babies are thriving but the other two are still fighting. Please say a little Easter prayer for all of the kittens and moms who will be needing us in the coming months. ~ diana
Ginger – Rescued from the Streets
3/31/18 – Your donations not only save lives but they prevent unwanted lives from being born. Here is a very sweet boy who will not be responsible for any further babies:
Erica Diola: “Huge thank you to Diana Rascano with 4paws1heart for covering his vaccines & combo testing, you are a blessing to so many❤🐈”
Macho – He Was Shot in the Leg and Required a Leg Amputation
3/30/18 – Macho was found wandering the streets, limping. He was taken to the clinic and x-rays showed bullet fragments that broke Macho’s elbow. The doctor advised that it is an old injury which had already begun healing wrong. The doctor advised that removing the bullet pieces and putting a plate at his elbow has a less than 40% chance of being successful. Consequently the doctor recommended that Macho have his right front leg amputated because the injury is probably causing tremendous pain and has been for quite some time. Macho is barely 2 years old and could have a long life ahead of him. We were told that that he is very sweet and deserving of a second life. 4 Paws 1 Heart was happy to help with Macho’s surgery which has been completed. Macho is doing well and will be looking for his forever home. Anyone interested in Macho should contact 313 k-9 and kitty rescue Detroit. ~ diana
Jack Frost (aka Blizzard) – Found Nearly Frozen to Death, Locked in a Garage
3/29/18 – Jack Frost (aka Blizzard) is looking for his forever home. He was found 3 days before Christmas, starving to death in a garage, unable to access food or water. Gina has been fostering and socializing him since.
Jack would do best in a home with one or two adults who have had cats in the past and at least one other cat whom he could play with. He loves to interact with Gina’s 16 year old cat but she only tolerates him; she doesn’t want to romp around like he does. Jack is still shy when it comes to being picked up but once he’s in your arms he loves attention. He drools, purrs, and hugs you. He so happy. He is approximately 8 months old. He is up-to-date on vaccines and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He does not seem affected by Gina’s dog, however, her dog is cat friendly. If there is another dog in the home, it would be fine as long as the dog is 100% safe around cats. Jack is neutered and ready for his new home! He also loves to play with the feather toy. Please share! ~ diana
Snicker (II) – RIP Sweet Girl
3/28/18- RIP Sweet Snickers. She was found in the grass in a person’s yard. She was bleeding from her vagina and she couldn’t use her back legs. We authorized Snickers to be seen by two vets because the second vet had ultra sound and digital x-rays. Both vets recommended humane euthanasia. Her pelvis was broken in such a way that successful surgery was doubtful; she also had internal injuries. It’s possible that Snickers had been hit by a car. With agreement by the rescuer, Snickers was allowed to cross the Rainbow Bridge where she would no longer be in pain. ~ diana
Jack – He Saw an Opening and He Jumped In
3/28/18 – A friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart was doing outreach in a pretty tough area in a nearby city and while she was delivering food, this super sweet boy jumped into her car and didn’t want to leave. So, as any big hearted person would do, she contacted another rescue friend and brought Jack to her house. Jack was neutered, vaccinated and tested with the help of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Anyone interested in adopting this sweetheart should contact: Jo Sweeney Addington, [email protected] – Diana
