Elliot Update

Elliot Update:
“Gina

Elliot is very happy and busy. On Saturday, he explored the entire house.
JJ played with him for 2 hours, and then JJ was tired–Elliot kept on going.
He is eating well, and using his litter pan. He is playing now in the sunroom. I am glad to have given him a home.

Gini the Torti Cat

A friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart contacted us needing help with a rescued kitten. Here’s her follow-up letter to us. We’ll let all of you know if Gini needs a forever home. I want to say Thank You to Maria and her daughter for saving this baby and giving us the opportunity to help. ~ diana

“Thank you: My daughter and I are so grateful to you and the support of 4 Paws 1 Heart, for your care and attention to Gini the cat. (We can tell she is thankful too.) This meant so much to us and we now look forward to Gini’s healing. 4 Paws 1 Heart is in our hearts.

Baby Boy and Pumpkin

As our friends already know, 4P1H is always happy to fund spaying/neutering for rescued cats and dogs when we can. Our friend, Norma, contacted us about these little guys who had been rescued and now need neutering and a forever home. They are very sweet and have been fostered by their rescuer. 4P1H thanks all of those good-hearted people who are willing to rescue and stop the continued breeding of unwanted cats and dogs. This is Baby Boy and Pumpkin, approximately 6 months old who will be neutered on Wednesday and will be looking for their forever home.~ diana

Owner Surrender Finds Her Way to Rescue

I’m proud to say that our very own Board member, Melissa, will be picking up this sweetheart on Monday to foster until she finds her forever home. 4P1H paid for vaccines and spaying and A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue will be taking her under their rescue wings. Working together to make a difference.

This was Lisa Taylor’s, Warren Animal Control Officer, post on Friday: ~ diana

“Today I picked up an owner surrendered sweet, gorgeous little girl. She has bad skin from fleas, is being treated and tested right now (capstan and frontline). She’s a total cutie and under a year old. She will need to go somewhere today, at least temporarily! Please message or call me if you can help.”

Rescue Needed for Elliot

CAN SOMEONE TAKE IN THIS LITTLE SWEETHEART?? So we have a new kitten named Elliot. He was dumped in the Target parking lot tonight beside the vehicle of a woman who lives in Harper Woods. When she arrived at her car, she saw a kitten who had been placed in a carrier with no one around. She brought the kitten into the Emergency and I offered to sign him over to 4 Paws 1Heart. We checked him out and he has a little cold. He is otherwise fine and tested negative for feluk/fiv. If there are any rescues available this kitten is a LOVER!! ~ Gina

Emma (Snow) Update

A week after going to rescue Emma a.k.a. Snow continues to improve. The inflammation has subsided and she is not scratching as much and is more relaxed and comfortable.  She is getting very spoiled with her daily sponge bath and massage when I apply ointment to her affected areas.  She deserves all the spoiling after what she has been through ~ Cynthia

Ivy, 7 week old Kitten

11/11/12 IVY UPDATE: Ivy is a trooper. She is hanging in there while being treated with ear mites, fleas, coccidia, roundworms, and an eye infection. We are doing everything we possibly can for her. She still has a slight abnormality to her eyes
but she is totally functional. She is about 7 weeks old, with long hair, flame point, and is super loving. She loves to talk, be held, and follow you everywhere. I’ll send another update in a few days once we give her more time to be hospitalized. ~ gina

This is IVY. She is about 7 weeks old, female, and long haired. This little kitten was seen in the middle of the street a couple of nights ago when a woman almost hit her. She brought her into the emergency vet and the rescuer signed her over to 4 Paws 1 Heart. Ivy is currently hospitalized for dehydration, undernourishment, and severe parasitism. Any rescues or adopters who would like to take in Ivy should contact gina at [email protected]

Emma on the Mend

Emma (formerly known as Snow) continues to do well every day. She gets a saline solution bath for her infected skin every day, she is on a special diet just in case it is food related. She is also on pain medication to relieve some of her discomfort while she heals from her horrible ordeal. Emma loves to be held, petted and cuddled.
