9/3/19 – I talked earlier about the 7 kittens rescued by our friend, Debra. Chance’s mom took in 4 and another friend, Patricia, took in 3. Well Sunday morning I received a call that Roxie, one of the kittens with Patricia, had been losing an ounce of weight a day over the last couple of days. On Sunday her feces was something like she never has seen. We had Roxie go to emergency where she was treated with antibiotics and sent home with additional medicine. These kittens are so small, they just can’t afford to lose weight. Her two siblings seem to be doing well.

While we continue to pray for and help the many animals who need us here in our own State, we must pray and do what we can for all of the animals who need us in the States being hit by the devastating Hurricane Dorian. ~ diana

‘Update on Roxie, after struggling for a couple of days getting her to eat, thanks to Debbie Nelson who brought over a different type of milk for her, this morning before I could get the bottle to her, she dove into the wet food and topped it off with the bottle! No weight loss overnite, no gains, but we aren’t going backwards. Cautiously optimistic that we are moving forward. – Patricia”

“So as some of you may know a few weeks back Erica Diola and I trapped some mom kitties and baby kitties and another adult. This resulted in 9 kittens at my house! Woah! Good news is, three of him have been adopted and two more are ready (socially) and I will be posting soon.

9/3/19 – Luke is the one who had to have part of his tail amputated due to an infection. They are all doing well now.

8/30/19 – No matter how many animals are spayed/neutered, the over population never seems to end. We are just thankful for people, like Kirk Schubring Sr, who will open their homes and hearts to taking in these homeless innocents. It truly takes a village. – diana

8/30/19 – A couple of evenings ago, our friend Debra was able to catch 7 kittens who desperately needed attention. Three kittens went to expert rescuer and four went to Chance’s mom. All with the commitment that 4 Paws 1 Heart would cover medical when needed. Well, this little guy, who appears to be the runt of the litter, needed help sooner than expected. A part of his tail bone was totally exposed and needed to be seen by a doctor before it became infected. Fortunately, Luke was able to be seen within a few hours and here is the report from Chance:

8/29/19 – Garfield and Louie are both community cats who had upper respiratory infections and ear mites. We were happy to take care of those issues as well as spay/neuter/vaccinate. We are so thankful for those who care for cat communities and work so hard to trap/neuter/spay/ and take care of the other medical issues that befall on these poor defenseless animals. ~ diana

8/29/19 – Yesterday our friend Debra rescued 7 young kittens in her neighborhood. Of course 4p1h will be medically backing them. Another is pretty emaciated but his foster mom, Patricia, is experienced with this. Please say a prayer for the many animals roaming the streets without anyone to care for them.  This is Luke, one of four taken in by Chance’s mom and Lelou, taken in by Patricia B. – diana

CHANCE: Well Team, vet visits are starting early for this little guy we are calling Luke. This is the baby we told you had the end of his tail missing. He will be going in today to have the exposed tip tended to at Patterson Veterinary Hospital thanks to 4 Paws 1 Heart. Wish our little Luke luck, his appointment is at 3 and we’ll keep you posted. He’s a sweet, sweet little boy, thank goodness Auntie Debra rescued these babies! -Chance”
