Sammy – A Severe Case of Upper Respiratory Infection Could Have Ended Her Life

11/22/15 – An update from her foster mom.  Sammy spent one day in the hospital and is still requiring care. Here is the before and after photos. Thank You, Missy, for taking such good care of her.  dianaSammiw:debraberolatti11:16:15sammyw:missygarnet11:21:15

“Sammy is moving around a bit today. She is eating and drinking small amounts on her own and taking her meds and syringe feeding from me quite well. She isn’t eating enough on her own to sustain herself yet but it’s a wonderful start. She is still sneezy and nasally but it’s going down. She is still draining in her eyes and her nose gets clogged and needs cleaned. She is purring in response to affection and feeding time and seems to be growing strength daily. Without 4 paws 1 heart this baby would not be alive or have this wonderful chance. Thanks to 4 paws 1 heart sponsoring her medical care and covering her overnight stay and medications and special food to help her gain weight back she is going to be able to be a beautiful loved long haired Tortie. Thank you so much 4 paws 1 heart for seeing the beautiful life she is and offering her that special chance. She has now pooped 2 times in the litter box and peed about 9 times in the litter box. It took a bit for her to start going but now she seems to be doing ok. Thanks to everyone who donated to allow her care and to 4 paws for believing in her and paying her vetting. Also thanks to Debra Berolatti for getting her too and from the vet. Just 1 example of how your donations to 4 paws 1 heart saves lives of needy cats. 💞

Sherlock – 5 Months After His Rescue with His Forever Family

11/22/15 – Last June he was found sneaking in and out of the rescuer’s doggie door. He had an injured jaw and tooth and had two puncture wounds on his leg. His leg was swollen and he was limping. After receiving a call for help, 4 Paws 1 Heart took care of Sherlock’s medical bills and in the mean time, the rescuer’s (Joani) grandchildren fell in love with him. Here he is 5 months later. Thank You to all of our friends for making this possible. Donations have been critically slow, so anything you can do to help, will be much appreciated by all of our furry friends. ~ diana

Gina’s Lucy – Home But Still Unsure of the Cause of Her Illness

11/21/15 12247146_1045796118786019_8838338155627787218_nLucy is home and getting stronger. smile emoticon Thank you all for the support you have given us. I truly believe your prayers and positive thoughts have helped my Lucy return home.. Sometimes things have no explanation, and I believe this is one of them. A few days ago, she was very sick and I really thought I was going to lose her. Now I’m feeling confident that this was a freek thing, and she’s gotten through the worst of it. Thank You all!!! ♡ Gina & Lucy ♡

Leonidas – Don’t Use Animals as a Surprise Gift

11/20/15 – Meet Leonidas. A 4p1h friend rescued Leonidas from a difficult situation. Here is his story:

“He was bought at 5 weeks old by a man who wanted to surprise his pregnant (with twins) fiance, from a filthy situation where it appeared puppies were being breed for money. Two weeks later, the fiance realized she could not properly care for him. Missy G. rescued him before he found his way into the wrong hands.

Unfortunately, he has horrible diarrhea and is extremely skinny and only weighs 1.6 to 2 pounds. He is said to be old English bull dog pit mix (maybe American bull dog pit mix via looking up both breeds). 4 Paws 1 Heart will pay for his medical treatment and, hopefully, he will be available in about one month to six weeks for adoption. – Missy”

Please contact Missy at [email protected] if you have questions or are interested in a future adoption. ~ dianaleonidas-w:meganblassleonidasw:meganblass

Update on Gina’s Lucy

1/20/15 – I cannot thank you all enough for the positive energy and prayers you have sent for my Lucy. She came home a few hours ago and as you can see she is very happy and so is her sister (Angel)♡.  We’re not sure exactly what is wrong yet, but we are going to take it one day at a time while we run more tests. In the meantime, my heart is happy that she is home where she belongs. ♡ Gina

Prayers Needed for Gina’s Baby – Lucy

8/19/15 – All of our friends know what an angel and miracle worker Gina is with all of the abandoned and abused animals who come into her life. Now, I’m asking all of our friends to say a prayer for her Lucy who is now in the hospital and at this time no one has determined what is wrong with her. May God watch over this very sweet soul. ~ diana

“Prayers are needed for my Lucy tonight.. She is hospitalized with a very low platelet count, fever, and anemia. She is painful, won’t eat, lethargic, and dehydrated. She might have cancer, internal bleeding, or an immune mediated disease. I am very worried for my baby girl. – Gina”12274334_928298550569133_2210260946817702394_n

Elsa – Rescued, Vetted, and then Stolen

11/17/15 – This is Elsa. In September, 2015 she just showed up at someone’s door on the east side of Detroit, Unsuccessful efforts were made to find her owner. She was ‘skin and bones’ and in pretty rough shape. Her medical treatment was paid for by 4 Paws 1 Heart. Unfortunately, the day after she saw a veterinarian, she was stolen out of the foster’s backyard. We have all continued to pray for this girl that she did not fall into the wrong hands. Always keep a watchful eye on your pets. ~ dianaelsafoundbyRachelGirsten's friend9:5:15
