Thank YOU – Utica Education Association Staywell

11/16/15 – HerculesThe Board of 4 Paws 1 Heart sends a huge THANK YOU to Utica Education Association Staywell for making 4p1h a recipient of some of the proceeds from their recent Halloween Hustle 5k/8K. The event was a lot of fun and required a lot of hard work by Nancy Smith, Chairperson, and the many teachers, students, and friends who volunteered. Please check them out and keep an eye out for the next 5K event, The Hoodie Hoo, which will take place in March 5, 2016 at the Lake St. Clair Metro Park. We are honored to be associated with this very generous, community focused organization. ~ diana

Sammi – Left Behind By Her Owners

11/16/15 – Please pray for this sweet baby, Sammi. The neighbors reported that she had been left behind by her owners. Debra B. rescued her and got her into the vet. She has a severe upper respiratory infection and is severely emaciated. The doctor suggested she stay hospitalized over night. She probably would not have made another night on the streets. Thank you for your continued support which makes it possible for us to try and save these poor abandoned babies. ~ dianaSammiw:debraberolatti11:16:15

The Kittens of 2015 – Forever Safe

11/15/15 – These babies were all rescued from the streets of southeastern MI. 4 Paws 1 Heart paid for their vaccinations, tests, and medical treatment — as is typical for cats/kittens found on the streets, many have upper respiratory infections which if left untreated can result in eye removals. This was the case with these babies. Please spread the word about the importance of spay/neuter and keeping your pets inside. These babies are with Missy and if you are interesting in adopting them, please contact [email protected]. Please share and thank you! ~ dianamissygarnet-1-11:13:15missygarnet-3-11-15-15missygarnet-2-11:15:14missygarnet-4-411:15:15missygarnet-5-11:15:15

Lucy – Found in the Middle of a High-Traffic Road

11/14/15 – I received a call about a cat who was found the night of 11/10/15. A very caring family was driving down Eleven Mile (Macomb County, MI) at night, and came across a cat who would not leave the middle of the road. Even when the family got out of their car, she would not move. Finally they called her and she came to them. Obviously, another cat who was once a pet but now is either a lost cat or a dumped cat. And, of course, there is no identifying information. Lucy was taken to the vet the following day and 4 Paws 1 Heart paid for vaccines, treatment for a beginning upper respiratory infection, fecal test, and leukemia/fiv test. We will also pay for her to be spayed if an owner isn’t found. Please, please if you are an animal guardian, pay the few dollars to microchip and tag your pet. ~ dianaLucyw:kathy Hicks-hoht11:12:15

Pistol Pete and Paddy – 4 Paws 1 Heart Saved Their Lives and Their Sight

11/13/15 – Two more babies saved because of your support!! Thank You Jacque for rescuing them and working so hard to find them their forever homes. ~ diana

“Meet Pistol Pete and Paddy. Both kittens came to me as singles. No siblings. Paddy was almost blind and almost lost her eyes. But thanks to 4paws1heart, her eyes were saved and she can see. A few months later I got Pistol Pete. Both stuck to me like Velcro. Months went by and they seemed to always stick together. They love each other very much. Lately, I find them always sleeping together with their paws around each other. I am looking for someone who would keep these 2 together. Paddy due to her eyes never learned to play, Pistol taught her how to play. She never left my side, but now thanks to Pistol she explores with him. Both are fixed and are vetted. Please share this post with everyone you know. Pistol Pete is apx 4-5 months old and Paddy was born in March (7 months old). They will both be small cats. Paddy has some Rex in her and Pistol has some Bengal in him. They are both people kitties. Both are healthy. Paddy’s eyes have scars, but they will be fine. You can contact me at [email protected].”pistolpeteandpaddyw:jackquetiegs111:11:15

Chugger – Found on the Streets of Detroit

11/12/15 – Meet Chugger. He was rescued from the streets on the east side of Detroit. The rescuer has posted him on several pages in hopes of finding his owner — unfortunately, no one has come forward. Chugger is about 2 years old and weighs 35 lbs. He gets along with dogs but not too sure about cats. He has gotten along with some and and with some — not so much. 4 Paws 1 Heart will be paying for Chugger to be neutered and vaccinated. Please contact Michelle (the rescuer and foster mom) at [email protected] if you are interested in this handsome boy. ~ dianachugger11:10:15w:michellewhovianchuggerw:michellewhovian11:10:15

Soup – Living Life After Having His Head Stuck in a Soup Can

11/10/15 Remember Soup (on the left). He was found on a person’s lawn with his head stuck in a soup can. He had a broken pelvis and other injuries. He spent time in the hospital with Gina and then nursed back to good health by our good friend, Denise (Chance’s foster mom). He lived with Gina for a year before his perfect family came along. Now he has a new baby brother. Yeah Soup!! xox ~ dianasoupandbabybrother11:10:15
