Elsa – Wandering the Streets All Alone; Today a Happy Healthy Girl
11/2/16 – Thank You, Mama Erica, for sharing this update. It was July, 2014 when 1-2 week old Elsa was found wandering the streets and brought into the emergency hospital. Our good friend Amanda Morris, took her in to be bottle fed, loved, and adopted to a good home. You may not know this but kittens who lose their moms too earlier not only need to be bottle fed but then need to be stimulated to poop, taught to use the litter box, and socialized. Obviously, foster mom Amanda, did everything right. ~ diana
Morey – He Was Being Kicked and Prodded by a Group of Boys
11/2/16 – This sweet boy was rescued by a friend of 4 Paws 1 Heart who we have helped before. He was seen being kicked and prodded by a group of boys in a park. The punks were also being cruel to a pregnant female who got away. 4 Paws 1 Heart has taken care of all medical needs but he desperately needs someone to take him in. Anyone who would like more information, should contact Marcy at: [email protected]

An absolutely beautiful, unique and super affectionate Calico who was pulled from a high-kill shelter. At the time, she was very emaciated and flea infested.

Rose’s rescuer says that Rose is “very sweet, loves to be petted, enjoys a sunny spot or a window sill and is wonderful with children and other felines. She also loves to curl up in your lap.
She would be the purr-fect addition to any family. 🐱” . Anyone interested in adopting this beauty should contact Karen at: [email protected] . ~ Diana
Pumpkin – Found Outside of a Restaurant Looking for Her Forever Home
10/31/16 – On this Halloween our little “Pumpkin” went to her forever , loving home. She was found eating out of a dumpster where my brother was playing a gig. When he saw her he asked the employees if she had been on the streets for a while. They said, “about a year ever since her owner passed away”. Being the compassionate guy my brother is, he brought her home and contacted 4 paws 1 heart. We got her fully checked out and up to date with all necessary medical care. He spread the word and found her a very loving home. She is warm and off the streets for good! ♡ Gina
Dewey – He Had a Hole in His Diaphragm and His Organs Were Fused Together
10/31/16 – Happy Halloween Update: Dewey’s mom and dad, gave us a happy update.
“Pets are work. They cost us money and we have to teach them to live with us in our civil homes. Sometimes they get sick. But they are worth it because in our opinion, they give us more than we could ever hope for. When both of our family pets passed at 18 years old, there was a portion of time when my husband and I would get home and no furry being would greet us. It felt empty. Months later, I saw the sweet, sad, Eeyore-like eyes of Dewey in a picture posted by 4 paws 1 heart on Facebook. He had an IV. I am a nurse and I immediately felt the draw to care for this animal. He was mine; I knew it. Dewey had a diaphragmatic hernia. He needed a large sugery. There was a hole in his diaphragm and his organs had fused together. The organs had to be separated and the hole
closed. It is hard for a person to recover from that, let a lone a cat. But Dewey did. My colleagues think it is crazy that they would do that for a “cat.” But every time I am having a bad day and I see his sweet, imploring eyes or feel his weight on my lap I am SO grateful for the chance that was taken on him. Everytime he makes me laugh because he is clumsy, playful, quick, and persistent with his cat sister, Lyra, I am thankful.
My husband was nervous he would be sickly. He’s a “normal” cat, just a little clumsy at times. Dewey and my husband, Andrew, are best friends. Andrew often says,”I don’t know what we would do without our cats. We recently moved from Michigan to New Mexico. It has been a hard transition. Dewey and Lyra are our homesick medicine, our comedy show, our cuddle buddies, our bridge to each other and our families at home. Their “grandparents” love to get pictures of their antics. It may seem silly to some, but our pets are worth more than anything to us. Everyday we are grateful for both of our cats and the people who provided the medical care for them so that, despite the odds, fate brought them to us. Fate gave us these little souls to be connected with and they literally make every single day better. Pets who get rescued are the lucky ones; those who care for them are luckier. Thank you, thank you, thank you to those who donate to 4 Paws 1 Heart and all of the people involved who spend their time and put their energy into this organization. You make a difference in sweet animal’s lives everyday and in turn, people’s too.
Coal – In His Forever Home
4 paws 1 heart is about 2nd chances. Coal (kitty) was treated by us for a urinary blockage. There were repeated issues causing him to reblock and not be able to urinate. His kidneys were at risk for failure. We paid for Coal to have a surgery which resolved all of the issues. It was expensive…he was a young cat…and without you we couldn’t have saved him. Here is an updated picture from his dad. As you can see Coal has a very good friend here. ♡ Gina
The Need Has Been Greater Than The Donations – Please Help
YOU CAN BE A HERO!! YOUR $40 DONATION WILL SAVE LIVES!!
10/27/16Did you know that 1 female cat (starting at 4 months old) can have 1 to 8 kittens, 3 To 5 times a year?
Did you know that 1 female cat can have 100 kittens in one year, and can reproduce almost her entire life?
Did you know that one pair of cats and their kittens can produce as many as 420,000 kittens?
AND, did you know that with a $40 donation we can spay/neuter one cat?
As of today, we have requests for 40 cats to be spayed/neutered and every day we get more. For every “NO”, 210,000 cats may be born and eventually die on the streets or in the shelters.
What else could you possibly do to make a bigger difference! Donations can be made on this page by using the donations link, by mail at P.O. Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. ~ diana
Ali – Has Another Surgery
10/26/16 – Ali Update, This morning he needed another surgery to remove a piece of bone from his back toe. The bone was dislocated and you can see how it’s turned sideways on this x ray. As a result, he has been limping, and there has been a festering wound where the pad would be. Now we have yet another 2 weeks of rest and recovery. I pray to God that this is the end of his medical needs, and that now I can allow him to be a puppy. Next, he needs a forever home, so if you want more information please email me at [email protected], and if you would like to donate towards the extensive medical bills we have invested in Ali it would SO be appreciated. Thank you and please share for he needs a good home… Nov 4th he will be exactly 6 months old.

Carlos – Still Unsure. Is His Cancer Returning?
10/17/16 We made a commitment to sweet Carlos and Denice’s family, who took him in at our request. And, although we are running out of money, the Board of 4p1h will not let him down. Carlos has lost 2 lbs. since his last visit which is not good. He is having a full panel of blood work done in hopes of seeing if Carlos is hyper thyroid or if something worse is going on. Prayers for this sweet boy who has been through so much. – Diana
Ahem, good morning Team. Its me, Carlos. Im still not feeling good…at all. Just looking at food makes me cringe and go hide. My Dr appointment is at 12:00, so as soon as Mom can she will update everybody. We want to thank everybody for all your love & prayers. Mom wants me to tell you she reads and appreciates every comment, shes just awfully upset about me being sick so its hard for her to answer each comment right now…she knows you understand. For those who dont know, I have Spindle Cell Sarcoma which is a very aggressive cancer and impossible to get it all becuse the margins are so unclear. Ive had 3 surgerys, 2 since Ive been here pd for thanks to 4 Paws 1 Heart. My last visit about 2mo ago the Dr said its possible the cancer may have spread to my brain as I was becoming aggressive, but I had been doing really good with the Feliway diffusers until now. So, we dont know what today will bring but please keep me & my family in your prayers. And if your able please send a donation to4paws1heart.org/donations/ becuse funds are so low and there are so many like me needing their help. Love, Carlos ❤
