Blackie – Hit By a Car

8/2/17 – Finally, some good news. Thank you, Melanie Wittner, of a Hopeful Heart. It truly takes a village. ~ diana

“Just wanted to share this sweet boy that you helped with this weekend. He was hit by a car and was unable to walk on his back leg. We were able to rush him to Advanced Emergency only because you were able to help! He still has a long way to go before he is completely better but because of 4 Paws he is doing great tonight sleeping in a comfortable bed and is pain free.- Melanie”

Remy – He Almost Died From Parvo Virus

7/31/17 – Just because I have posted so many sad cases the last couple of days, I wanted to share this very happy news with you. You may remember Remy. He was found running near a major highway. He became ill, and, after a visit to the Michigan Humane Society clinic, it was suspected that he had Parvo. The family contacted us because they had already fallen in love but couldn’t afford any more medical visits. Remy was seen at Advanced Animal Emergency first who then worked with Dr. Gary at Centerline Veterinary so that Remy could be treated as outpatient. Between the very caring rescuers and the wonderful doctors who work with us, Remy is a healthy, happy, and very loved boy. Here is Remy just 24 days ago and today. He will be soon neutered and vaccinated, complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart and our generous donors. ~ dianaremy 7:31:17remy--before--7:31:17remy before 7:31:17

Maggie Lu – Found Wandering the Streets – Flea Infested, Intact, and Both Legs Needing Surgery

7/26/17 – Our 4 Paws 1 Heart family has been unbelievably caring and generous in hearing of the death of my mom. Two days ago I received the following message “Hi Diana, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I hope you can find some comfort at this difficult time. also, my husband and I would like to do a March donation up to $500”.

So, over the next week all donations made up to $500 will be matched by this very caring supporter of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Please help us get to $500 by using the donation link on this page or by mail at P.O. Box 84, St.Clair Shores, MI 48080. It is only with your donations and support can we continue to help save the lives of the abandoned like Maggie Lu.

Maggie Lu was found not-spayed, horribly flea infested, with long nails, and with both knees needing cranial cruciate surgery. An owner could not be found. Although the rescuer was willing to give Maggie Lu a forever home, she could not afford the medical bills. We were contacted and Monday, Maggie Lu was spayed and had surgery on one leg. The surgery went well and 4 Paws 1 Heart, if money is available, will help Maggie Lu with the surgery on her other leg when the time comes. Here she is when first rescued and a little later before surgery ~ dianaMaggie Lu 5:12:17Maggie Lu w:angela atkinson 6:16:17

Casper – Only 10 Months Old, Deaf, and Running the Streets

7/25/17 – Meet Casper. At 10 months and deaf, he was found running the streets. The rescuers found out who his owners were but when they were contacted, they chose to not take him. The rescuers could not afford to keep him and contacted our friends at Friends of Scooby Rescue. We have often helped this rescue, and in this case, we were asked again if we could help Casper with neutering, vaccinating, and testing. Of course we did. Casper is now in a loving foster home where the young son of the house and Casper have already bonded. The young man is already learning sign language to teach Casper. Casper will also be in training for the next six months and our prayer is that he will find the perfect loving home once ready. Who knows?? Maybe, he already found that. ~ dianacasper 7:25:17

Remy – Rescued from the Hightway Suffering from Parvovirus

7/17/17 – Meet Remy. He was found roaming near an interstate highway, just a puppy. After two weeks, he became lethargic and his rescuer brought him to a vet. He tested negative for parvo and was sent home. The symptoms continued and we were contacted. We had Remy see the good doctors at Centerline Veterinary and because they could not watch him overnight, he was transferred to our friends at Advanced Animal Emergency where he continued treatment and this time was found to be positive for Parvo. Over the next few days, Remy was treated at the veterinary and watched by his loving new family. This past Friday, I learned that Remy has turned the corner and it appears that he will be ok. A huge thank you to his rescuers and new family and the wonderful vets who are willing to work with us. We are very thankful we could be there for Remy. Everyone at the vet’s office has told me about what a sweetheart he is. Another life saved!! ~ dianaremy 7:12:17remy 7:17:17

Rosie RooOliverchancecarla 7:16:17“Hello Team, mom here. For our friends who are new to our page or didnt see the condition of our sweet Rosie Roo⚘the day I picked her up from the shelter, this is her picday 1 on her way home from the shelter. For so many of our angels like Rosie, Oliver, Chance, Carla & Phoenix the road to love has been dotted with issues both physical & emotional. But one look at their beautiful faces and we know theyre worth every minute of work, every sacrifice, every kiss, every tear, every sleepless night, every hug, every prayer said. They are beautiful souls and worth everything it takes to keep them happy & healthy. But I could never do it alone! Im blessed with my awesome sister (Aunt Shelly) who is right there sharing every struggle, triumph, dirty litter box, feedings, hugs, lullabys, fears, and joys with me & the gang, supporting, helping at every turn. Some very special family members who encourage our journey. Some amazing, amazing friends who’ve built special furniture, purchased items needed for their mobility and happiness. Come by the house and help with Carla, do Reiki on Phoenix, drop off donations, transport us to vets, petsit, encourage, so many things! Team Chance who donate not only for KittysHelpingKittys, but for our angels as well. And of course our beloved 4 Paws 1 Heart who without we could never, ever do what we do. $3,175 Raised in Joanna’s Memory – Thank You

This morning I opened my personal page to find a “Happy Birthday” message to my mom. She loved my posts, especially when they were accompanied by a beautiful photo. Her birthday was May 2 so I thought it a little strange that the posting should come up this morning just after I completed going through all of the cards and donations made in her memory. This is mom on her honeymoon and “her” cat, Dolce, adopted from Gina.

I want to extend a very sincere THANK YOU from me, my family, and the animals who will be helped by 4 Paws 1 Heart. Because of the love of our many friends and family, $3,175 was donated in my mom’s honor. She would have been overwhelmed. Her legacy will live on in the many lives which will be saved in her memory. May God Bless all of you who said a prayer, donated, or came to the services. ~ diana20031802_1581506255215000_4962122345899341768_ndolce

Rosie Roo – This Old Girl Needs Your Prayers

7/14/17 – please say a little prayer for our Rosie Roo. Read her story on this website. ~ diana

“Hi everybody, its me Rosie Roo⚘
Sooo, I went to see the vet and sure got poked and prodded. I was dehydrated so I got fluids under my skin. I got a shot for my nausea and two yucky prescriptions. Mom brought a bag of my…ummm….eeewy pooee and the vet is sending it out for testing…the indignity…eeewww!!! He also wrote out for mom a whole new diet of home cooked foods for me which mom made me some tonight and I ate a little bit. We’re really, really hoping all this helps my belly. The vet says if Im not better by Monday he will want to do an ultrasound, so we really hope Im better by then. So thats all the news we have right now about me! Carla’s poo issues are a bit better today, but not as good as mom was hoping for so we had to cancel her appointment with Dr. Kern. We’re all pretty “pooped” out tonight 😉 so we’re going to go for our nitenites now. We love you all sooo much!
Big thankyou to 4 Paws 1 Heart for my vet visit today & Auntie Debra for taking me & mom
Sweet dreams everybody…Love, licks, purrs, woofs & mews Rosie, Chance & the Gang”rosie roo 7:13:17
