Coco – Roaming the Streets; Mite Infested; Emaciated; With a Wound on Her Body

7/30/19 – Coco was found roaming the streets. Her ears were mite infested, she was very emaciated, and had a wound on her body. She was in desperate need for a bath, some love, and medical attention. After trying all avenues, no owner could be found. 4 Paws 1 Heart was happy to cover Coco’s medical and she is doing well with her rescuer. Please keep in mind that there is no other organization in our region which will assist good Samaritans who don’t want to turn their back on an animal in need. Far too many times, people will just dump their pet for a variety of reasons. These “independent” rescuers have the love but they most often don’t have the finances for the unexpected cost. Please continue to make a difference by donating to 4paws1heart.org/donations/coco 7:30:19 coco =7:30:19 coco 7:30:19--

Shy – She Was Tied to a Tree; Being Fed Scraps; She Had a Large Growth on Her Body

7/29/19 – Shy is a 9-10 year old female who was taken from a family who kept her tied to a tree, feeding her scraps, and never giving her any human interaction. She had a large growth hanging from her body when she was rescued. She is a very friendly, lack lab-boxer mix who would love to be loved and cared for. We were happy to help Erin’s Angels Rescue in paying for the growth to be removed and for her to be spayed. ~ dianashy 7:29:19

Tiger – Was Found Running Loose With a Gash On His Neck

7/26/19 – Tiger was running loose with a gash on his neck for a few days. The rescuer thought for sure that he would die if not treated. He was finally caught and we were able to get him in to a vet where he was treated, vaccinated, snap tested, vaccinated, treated for fleas, dewormed, and will be neutered. He is now a foster cat looking for a furever home. ~ dianaTiger w.shelley emerson 7:21:19

Misty – Was Thrown Out of a Car Window

7/25/19 – This little sweetheart was seen being thrown out of a car window. The people who saw this horrendous act, brought the kitten into their auto repair shop. A woman came across the shop while doing her job and the auto repair owners showed her the kitten — they didn’t know what to do. The kitten had an injury on the inside of his mouth on the lower part of it’s jaw and he was flea infested. Although this baby was in Owosso, MI, we were able to find a veterinary clinic to work with us. The baby was seen and is now resting comfortably with the woman who took him in. – diana

Update:  “She is doing great! We’ve named her Misty. Despite her lip being separated from her gum, her mouth is healed and looks as normal as can be expected. 😊”misty 7:25:19 misty--7:25:19 Misty w:kayleigh dengler – Kayleigh

Joey, Delilah, Fiona, and Savannah – Found on the Streets

7/24/19 – This month has been insane — parvo, amputations, eye removals, and surgeries. This all while we are still assisting independent rescuers with “just the usual” spay/neuter/vaccines/fleas/parasites. This is Joey, Delilah, Fiona, and Savannah. They are all getting their ‘make overs’ complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart and our donors. Ginger – Rescued After Being Hit By A Truck – Update

7/23/19 – Last month I posted Ginger’s story. She was seen being hit by a truck but no one was around to claim her. A kind family brought her to the vet where it was determined that her leg was broken. The family could not afford to pay for her surgery so we were contacted. Ginger had the surgery and was doing fine but less than a month later, while out in her new yard, she broke her leg again. Unfortunately, this time, it required amputation. Ginger is again home and doing well. Her new family loves her.

Those of you who have pets know the cost of just the bare minimum of medical care let alone surgeries of this nature. Without our help (made possible by our donors), Ginger would have been humanely euthanized. But now, she will hopefully have a long life with a loving family.

This is why your support is so important. – dianaginger-61919 ginger 8:14:19 ginger 7:20:17

Dreema – She Was the Last of a Litter Not to be Sold

7/22/19 – This little girl was going to be dumped after the rest of his litter had been sold. Fortunately, a rescuer whom we’ve helped in the past, was there to save her. We had her go to the doctor for a wellness check but last week I got an emergency call because Dreema was lethargic and we were all concerned. We were able to get her into a vet where she was given fluids. She is eating and doing well. My husband met her last week when he delivered some pet food and he says that she is a little doll. I think that’s obvious. ~ diana

Thor – RIP

7/19/19- RIP Thor. Last week Thor was brought to emergency with what turned out to be a urinary tract blockage. Thor had surgery but the doctors thought that there might have been other neurological issues. It was unknown how long Thor had been suffering with this issue in that he was rescued when he was walking out from under a tree. Thor appeared to be doing well when he got back to his rescuer’s home but last night we were informed that he passed away. All of our hearts are breaking. Not only for Thor, but for every animal on the streets who we will never know about, who will die alone. We thank Thor’s rescuer, Connie, for all that she did to give Thor love. ~ diana

Sweetie – Found with Head Injuries and a Fractured Mandible

7/19/19 – At this time of the year it often seems the only animals we assist our cats because of the volume getting sick and injured on the streets. This little one is another one of those. The woman who had been caring for a mama and her 6 kittens noticed that one of the kittens had been injured — possibly attacked. He had head injuries and a fractured mandible. The rescue, Top Dog Animal Rescue, who contacted us for help said that they were aware of the family and had been trying to find a foster for them. Now the little guy is in the hospital with hopes of making a full recovering. We were glad to help a rescue in the difficult job of saving these poor innocent animals who must rely on us. ~ diana
