A Chance To Make A Difference

You have a chance to make a difference. Mr. Dennis Jones of Greenwood Pets has been charged with Animal Abandonment and Cruelty and although the offenses for which he is being charged occured last June, 2012, he still hasn’t been tried. There may be another hearing this coming week. A dying pygmy goat and two kittens were totally ignored and would have died had Animal Control Officer, Lisa Taylor, not responded to an anonymous call. This is not the first time that this man has been accused of cruelty. His case will be heard by Judge Chmura, 37th District Court, 8300 Common Rd. Warren, MI 48093 and will be prosecuted by Brian Surma, Macomb County Prosecuting Attorney, 1 S. Main, Fl. 1, Mt. Clemens, MI 48032. Please drop them a letter and let them know how you feel justice for animal cruelty. I will be also pushing to get reimbursement for the considerable amount of money 4P1H spent to save this life. Thank You ~ diana p.s. Our pygmy goat lives with a veterinarian and is doing well. ~ diana

Little Snickers Chill’n Out

Our Little Snickers. He seems so stressed. lol ~ diana
Don’t be worried, Snickers is fine…He is just sleeping because he is growing SO MUCH….and it’s all in length (that is a foot ruler- he is approx not even 5 months old!) He looks like a slinky kitty….she has a swagger…his front moves a different direction then his back…we call it the Snickey Swagger. He eats and eats and eats, yet he is so skinny and LONG….and so so loved…no matter how bad he is…and he is bad! ~ Mom Dee

R.I.P. Gordie

It is with a very heavy heart that we must report that our Gordie didn’t make it and has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We thank all of our friends for their prayers, donations and positive energy. He’s in a better place where he will never know pain or loneliness again. Thank You, Lisa for trying so hard to save this little guy’s life. ~ diana

R.I.P. Phoebe

It is with a very heavy heart that we report that our dear friend, Jacqueline Krausmann, has lost her beloved friend, Phoebe, due to juvenile kidney failure. Phoebe’s kidney’s were malformed at birth and very small. Jacqueline was such a wonderful loving mom to Phoebe showing nothing but love, compassion, and dedication to her baby girl every single day. When Phoebe was born doctors gave her a matter of days to survive, but because of Jacqueline, she never suffered one day and she made it almost 2 years receiving nothing but love. 4 Paws 1 Heart, will always remember this beautiful soul who had become a playmate, friend, and companion for Stella (Nugget) our Pom/Yorkie mix adopted by Jacqueline not too long ago. Stella was another true “miracle” who defeated all the odds that were against her. Stella and Phoebe were a pair, a team, and I think they kept each other strong, living every day to the fullest, having fun and a building a very real bond . In honor of Phoebe, her family has made a very generous donation to 4P1H. Phoebe’s legacy will live on in the animals who will be given a second chance because of the generosity of the Krausmann family. Our hearts go out to all who loved and cared for this sweetheart. Phoebe, you will never be forgotten. ~ Gina

Recovery of Bunny

4 Paws 1 Heart is happy to send some medical dollars to help in the recovery of Bunny. Anyone interested in this little sweetheart should contact Michigan Cat Rescue. ~ diana
Bunny is one of our newer rescue cats. She’s so sweet. She is about 2 yrs old. We rescued her just before she was supposed to be put down. Nobody would adopt her/rescue her when she was there. Why? Because so many people made horrible comments that she’s ugly and “unadoptable.” Its very sad that people judge animals based on appearance.
Bunny is a wonderful cat who deserves a loving home. Her ear is damaged from a horrible ear infection that was never treated in the past.
Bunny weighs only 3.5 lbs, she was starving for a long time on the streets.
We are trying to feed her extra food to get her to put some weight on. Right now she suffers from an intestine infection that she’s on medication for.
Please keep Bunny in your prayers, and if you’d like to help sponsor Bunny any donation would be a blessing to us to help her. We can use it to buy food and to help pay for her veterinary care.
Thanks for caring and for following us here on FB.
