9/16/17 – Please share and help this handsome boy get his purrfect home. – diana
“Yum- I just ate my Foster Mommy’s fingers…they taste like chicken! Hi Facebook…I’m Alphie! or as my foster parents call me…”Crazy”. I think it’s becauseI’m crazy handsome.
They also call me “Unique” – and I think that is because of my unique coloring….or maybe because I can unique up on you…get hahaha – I’m also very funny…And I’m also going to be up for adoption. I’m only 7-8 weeks old…and next Friday I get to go on an adventure to see the vet, then a few weeks later I will be fixed – what needs to be fixed???? can’t they see I’m purr-fect???? But a big thank you to 4 Paws 1 Heartfor sponsering my medical. Rosa Nill-Malburg for helping to save me! If you are interested in me coming to your house to live forever, contact my foster mommy through facebook or [email protected].
Chance – Very Friendly but Severely Emaciated
9/16/17 – This is the message I received from Cortney regarding a stray. Thank God, because of our $1,000 Match Challenge, I said YES. Look at this poor baby — how could we not? ~ diana
“Chance was found by my Uncle, at my Grandma’s birthday party at a hall. Chance was outside licking the sweat from a can, she was very friendly and approached my uncle. He brought her inside during the festivities, and we fed her and gave her water. She had some superficial injuries and was also emaciated, I had cat food and water bottles and bowls in my trunk which we gave to her. The vet estimated Chance to be about 5 years old and a spayed female, however, there is no tattoo, so it is hard to say whether she is spayed or not. There does seem to be somewhat of a faded scar on her abdomen. My uncle then told me he could watch her overnight while I found placement. I brought food and a litter box to his house for Chance. He thought he may have been interested in keeping her and it did not work out. I then went and got Chance and brought her home to my house, where she will remain until she is healthy enough for adoption. She is showing signs of excessive thirst and dehydration. The vet examined her, she has gone to Centerline Vet once for boosters, and then again for her second round of deworming, where ear drops were also prescribed. Chance also has a tail flick that she does sometimes that appears to be some kind of nerve damage or muscle spasm. Possibly from her injuries, the vet requested I get this instance on video and send it to Centerline Vet by email as Chance does not do this all of the time and was not doing it at the vet office, the doctor will assess that from there”.
9/16/17 – Chance Update: diana
“Chance update:
Chance is in pretty rough shape, she has been diagnosed with Feline hepatic lipidosis, a liver disease, which occurs when a cat stops eating which may have happened after her injuries or have been caused due to infection, she is also anemic. Good news is she has a 50/50 CHANCE at reversing the liver disease through daily medications and a special diet. She is still spunky, so everyone send them prayers that we can get her through this…. she’ll need a home when she does!! 😁 A HUGE thank you to 4 Paws 1 Heart got agreeing to continue treatment! – Cortney”
Luna – Update – Needs a Leg Amputation and is Heart Worm Positive
9/15/17 – Sweet Luna. Found on the street — maybe used for breeding and then dumped. We thought she would need a “simple leg amputation” but later learned she was heart worm positive. She saw a cardiologist who approved the surgery and yesterday her leg was amputated. When she is better, she will start heart worm treatment complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart. We could not help save these abandoned and abused without the support of our friends. Thank YOU so much for all of the donations being made during the $1,000 Match Challenge. Working together we will make a difference!!! ~ Diana . P.S. Thank You to Dr. Blasses of Patterson Veterinary and Dr. Patterson for working so closely with us on these difficult cases.
Sherrie in Alpena Needs Assistance with Her Rescued Cats
9/15/17 – 4 Paws 1 Heart funds medical treatment for abandoned, stray, and abused animals. I don’t know of any other organization that does this in Michigan. We help rescue organizations, shelters, and individuals who are independent rescuers. Sherrie has a cat rescue in Alpena, MI. Unfortunately, she has been targeted by a person who actually targeted 4p1h at one time. Not only is Sherrie trying to save cats and make sure they don’t reproduce, she is fighting the evil interference of people whose egos have been hurt. We have been trying to help Sherrie and have provided medical funding in the past. Currently, because our funds are low, we had to prioritize our assistance. At this time, we are helping with the serious medial needs of upper respiratory infections, a prolapsed uterus, and some other issues that arise from living on the streets. These babies are a few of them. ~ diana
Josie – RIP Sweet Mama and your Babies
9/14/17 – There have been so many losses this summer it has been heartbreaking for the rescuers and those of us trying to help. Here is another that I just posted the other day. This little baby named Hope lost three siblings and her mom, Josie, hasn’t had a temperature under 103 degrees in a week. Hope was to be taken to the veterinary today, but she died last night. RIP sweet beauty. We wish we could have done more. ~ diana
Finley – Found Emaciated on the Streets
9/14/17 – Please consider donating today when your donation will be matched. Unfortunately, the need for assistance has been great this year. It seems that for every one animal we help, five more come to our attention. This is Finley. She was found on the street at 3-4 years old, weighed only 3 lbs. Can you imagine what this poor animal has gone through??? She is very sweet but was so very emaciated the doctor could not even get enough blood to perform an fiv/felv test. She is currently on fluids and her rescuer will be working to ‘fatten’ her up and give her lots of love. ~ diana
Chaz Rice – Found on the Streets
9/13/17 – Your donations can still be matched by our generous supporter. Now is the time to make your donation go further. This is Chaz Rice. He was found alone on the streets; no owner could be found. Thankfully, because of the generosity of our supporters, Chaz will be neutered, vaccinated, and heart worm tested. ~ diana
Wally – Found With a “Torn Up” Leg
9/12/18 – Wally is another animal we committed to helping until he was happy and healthy. I received an email from someone we have helped in the past. Her sister had found a kitten in her yard whose mom was weaning him but he was having problems walking. His little leg was “torn up” and his whole paw was badly swollen. The little guy was put in a box and taken to a veterinary hospital and we were contacted for help. Little Wally was kept on antibiotics for ten days while waiting for surgery and finally his leg was amputated. Today he is doing well and the kitten who was scared and shy is now giving purrs and getting lots of love. Again, without the support of our friends, we could not make miracles happen. ~ diana
