10/23/17 – Dear Friends, once again we find ourselves in a position where we have to be on hold from helping any new animals being rescued. Today, I paid bills totaling $15,373 to 4 veterinary hospitals for just the past month. Unless we get significant donations or support in our next couple of fundraisers, we will be on hold for a minimum of one month. As of today, we have paid $108,000 between 1/1/17 through 10/23/17 in medical bills. I’m sorry to keep asking but if you can, please make a donation today through paypal by using the donate link on our website or on the left side of this page. Or mail a check to P.O. Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI. As you do that, please say a little prayer for all of those animals who have been left on the street to die horrible deaths all alone. ank you Shawnna and the kind lady who fed this poor kitty while he was in the wild. We were called when he couldn’t control his bladder and was not able to move his bowels. He was dirty and flea infested. The doctor suspected tumors and kidney failure. He died loved and clean late yesterday. This elderly dog was found lying in the shade at a car wash; not moving. A kind man took her home with the approval of a nearby police officer. He fed her and gave her water and she started to perk up. Unfortunately, she began to go down quickly over night which was thought to be because of congestive heart failure, the great doctors at OVRS, humanely euthanized her and put her out of her suffering. RIP Sweet Animals of God. Because of our finances, we were not able to respond as quickly as I would have liked. Would it have made a difference? I don’t know. ~ diana

Knuckie, Blackie, and Boo – The Many Cats Left Behind by Their Owners
10/22/17 – I know you’ve seen manyy kittens/cats this year. There have been many sad endings, but, fortunately, there were more happy beginnings. As a cat mom for 38 years, I just don’t know why people believe cats are expendable. They won’t neuter or spay and then they will throw them out of their home or leave them behind to fend for themselves when they move. Talk to any real estate gent and ask them how many times they have come across a home where the cats were left behind in the home. And, this is being done by people who allegedly like cats! Those who don’t ‘like’ cats, mostly driven by the movies and superstitions, ignore them — or worse — torture them. Here are more of the kittens and cats, we helped this past summer who were rescued by some of the wonderful, caring people who often come to us for help. Kittens – Found During Trap/Neuter/Release Projects

Frankie Castle and John Cena – They Almost Lost Their Eyes Due to Upper Respiratory Infections
10/18/17 – Frankie Castle and John Cena were very, very sick when they were rescued from the streets. With medical help from 4 Paws 1 Heart and the loving care of Heather Elizabeth, these babies are quickly improving. By working together, we can save lives. ~ diana
“Update: Frank Castle (the brownish one), the sicker of the two, has come a long way. I thought he might lose his eyes, as they were bulged out of his head and swollen. Though he still looks a little rough, trust and believe he looks much better, he looks great. His third eye lids just need some time to recover from such trauma, but I believe he’ll be just fine. His cough and congestion are about 90% gone. John Cena (the grey one) however is almost in tip top shape. His third eye lid on his right eye is slightly irritated, but it’s improving daily. His cough and congestion are now memories to him. This two boys came to us very sick. Lori Shafer was so kind to drive them all the way to us from Detroit. At one point we thought they weren’t going to make it and now look at them! Thank you Charlotte Yakima for arranging this. Stacy Kent see what your food donation has done for them? It’s making them big and strong! Thank you! Thank you everyone for your prayers. I’m confident that by Thanksgiving, they’ll be ready to go to their furever homes! Ana – Found with a Severe Puncture Wound
10/18/17 – Ana was found with a severe puncture wound on the side of her neck. We were contacted and she was immediately taken to the veterinary hospital. The doctor said that he had never seen an infection so severe. After a few days in the hospital, she was released and is now living inside the home of the rescuer. Without the rescuer and our medical help, she would have died a horrible death in the wild. ~ diana
