10/24/19 – Prayers for Tobe. He was found running the streets. The rescuers brought him to a vet to check for a microchip but there was none; they then posted and tried to find his owner, but without success. The rescuers contacted us and we arranged for him to be seen by one of our partner vets. Unfortunately, Tobe was found to be heart worm positive. So often, we believe that dogs are dumped when owners find out their pet has heart worm. Although, if a dog has been running the streets for a long time, they may contract heart worm while on the streets. Nonetheless, Tobe is a very sweet dog and the rescuers are committed to him. On Tobe’s vet visit he was given antibiotics to address a congestion issue. So, in reality he has already started the beginning of his heart worm treatment. We have committed to Tobe’s full treatment and recovery. This is another one of those cases that are expensive but we’re not going to turn our back. Thank you for anything you can do to support the abandoned, stray, and abused. ~ diana
10/23/19 – In early October, 7 cats were dumped in a Petsmart parking lot. One organization took 4 and our friend, Lori, took in 3 — Sparky, Natasha, and Boris. 4 Paws 1 covered all of their medical including spay/neuter, testing, vaccinations, flea/parasite treatment. Sparky has since been adopted but Boris and Natasha are still looking. If interested, contact Lori at: [email protected]
Please keep in mind that every ‘healthy’ cat we help costs a minimum of $150 to ensure they continue to be healthy and do not contribute to the over population of cats. Although we had a successful fundraiser last weekend, that money went out faster than it came in. If you can, please consider donating today so that we can continue to make a difference. Thank YOU ~ diana
10/22/19 – Please pray for Baby Ryan who has been diagnosed with Panleukopenia which is feline distemper or parvovirus. Although the virus carries a high mortality rate, Ryan’s rescuer is trying to save him and we are helping with his medical bill. He has been in the hospital and he appears to be turning the corner. There is no cure; only hope that his own immune system will kick in to fight off this deadly disease. ~ diana
UPDATES FROM HIS RESCUER:
Dawn Marie Peters 10/25/2019: update Ryan was supposed to be coming home today. Sadly, he took a turn for the worse over night/early this morning. Ryan was given a blood transfusion as the last attempt to save our precious boy. We desperately need more prayers please.
Dawn Marie Peters We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts that is with 4 Paws 1 Heart! Without your support Ryan would not be getting the care he has received! We are so unbelievably grateful for the generosity and kindness that has been given to him by so many wonderful and kind people. Ryan is the sweetest little guy and he is a fighter. He loves life and is fighting so hard to beat this! Thank you again so much! We will keep you posted as we hear more from the hospital.

10/21/19 – A huge thank you to the 121 people who attended our first ever Drag Queen Bingo Fundraiser. I believe everyone had a great time. We plan to have another in April. In the mean time, here are more of the babies we’ve helped this past Spring/Summer. It’s been an overwhelming year and, as always, your donations make a difference every day. Here is Lola, Garfiled and Louie. All babies found on the streets needing the help of independent rescuers and 4 Paws 1 Heart. As we go soon into winter, my heart breaks for all of these animals who are left to fend for themselves in the wild. ~ diana
10/20/19 – A Huge Thank You to our Sponsors. Because of their generosity, every dollar raised at today’s Drag Queen Bingo will go directly to funding medical treatment for abandoned, stray, and abused animals. Please support these businesses as they support us. ~ diana
10/18/19 – Magnolia Update — Magnolia had her surgery today. It took a little longer because her bones are so soft. She has some extra splinting to protect her bones. The doctor also found a couple of other fresh fractures. She is now home with her very knowledgeable licensed vet tech foster mom and is comfortably resting. If you have a little extra money, we would very much appreciate your help The doctor told me that it was a good decision not to amputate her leg and to follow up with surgery. Thanks, Diana
10/17/19 UPDATE: I look at that face and can’t find it in my heart to have her arm amputated. Consequently, even though we could definitely use donations, I have authorized orthopedic surgery tomorrow. Patterson Veterinary Hospital will also help by having a donation jar in the office and by covering the work on her jaw. ~ diana
10/17/19 – Please say a prayer for this very sweet girl who was dropped off at Patterson Veterinary Hospital, one of our partner vets. I was contacted yesterday to see if we would help with some of her medical. Magnolia is about 10 weeks old and it appears she was hit by a car. Her jaw and elbow is broken. One of our favorite doctors will take care of her jaw but she suggested that Magnolia see a specialist if we want to try and save her leg. We know that kittens are very adaptable but we would like to give her a chance if at all possible. Of course, orthopedic surgery is not cheap. So we will see what the specialist says. Fortunately, one of the licensed veterinary technicians took Magnolia home with her last night and she will take care of her and eventually find her a good home. May God bless all of the doctors, vet techs, and good samaritans who don’t turn their backs on animals in need. If you can, please consider making a donation to help Magnolia with her medical treatment. ~ Thanks, diana
