Fly High Dear Friend – Josh Sheppard — Give Mr. Bill a Hug from Us!

1/16/15 – RIP Josh Sheppard, May you and your loving buddy, Mr. Bill, once again be together and soar to new heights. Even in death you continue to help 4 Paws 1 Heart as your family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to 4 Paws 1 Heart. Last summer you posted this video, asking your many followers to support us. You were and will continue to be loved by many. We pray for your family and thank you for the many smiles you brought. ~ diana

Helena – Update

1/16/14 – Happy TGIF – Just the other day, I was thinking about our sweetheart, Helena. Thank You to the supporters of 4 Paws 1 Heart who made it possible for us to pay the medical treatment which required eye removal, thank you to you, Nicole Norton, for rescuing her, fostering her, and loving her, thank you to Dr. Steve of Healthy Paws Veterinary for always working with us, and thank you to the adoptive parents. I think of Helena often. Here is a posting from Nicole. ~ diana

“Today marks 1 year since I found my sweet Helena. She instantly stole my heart. Found on a brutally cold day so sick and afraid in a junk yard. A ton of people came together to make it possible for me to give her the care and love she needed to make a full recovery. I can’t thank you all enough.
Helena now has the best mom in the world, thank you Jill Johnson for loving her. ~ Nicole”

A True Friend to Animals and to 4 Paws 1 Heart – Josh Sheppard

1/15/15 – A tragic day for the family of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Gina’s cousin, Josh Sheppard, died in a tragic accident. A beautiful man who loved to push the envelope is now in heaven with his Mr. Bill (another Gina rescue, which is a whole other story best told at another time) and is now overlooking all of what we do. Josh was always so supportive of us. This past summer he created a video and asked his wingsuit followers to donate to 4p1h; and, whenever he was in town, he was with us. I will find the video a little later and share it with all of our friends once again but in the mean time, please pray for Gina and the family over the loss of this very charismatic man who lived life to the fullest. ~ dianajosh shppard

kellerafteroperation9:27:13 Keller1:14:15Buddy-PortHuronjenmartin1:13:15ryker1:12:151/14/15 – Happy Lunch Hour Updates from and for our friends:

Keller – Here is Keller after his operation to remove his eyes in September, 2013 and how he looks today after much love and attention from his mom, Pat.

Buddy – The handsome male picked up by our new friend, Jennifer, after we were contacted by the woman holding him in this photo. Just six days after he was rescued from below zero temperatures, here he is waiting for his big day, Friday, when he will be neutered — compliments of 4 Paws 1 Heart. P.S. There is a good chance that his foster mom will be a foster failure. (paws crossed)

And, last but not least, here is our boy Ryker who is still looking for his forever home although he is safe and secure with his new foster mom, Angela, a dear friend who I’ve known since she was in high school and I was still working for a living. Ryker’s leg had to be amputated and shortly after we found what we hoped would be his forever home. Unfortunately, his very loving dad became very ill and could no longer take care of him. We are very thankful to have been contacted so that we could try once more to find Ryker his forever home. If you are interested, please contact Gina at [email protected] ~ diana

Toko (aka Sharla) – Abandoned and Living in a Vacant House

1/13/15 – Can you just imagine what it would be like to have no shelter in below zero temperatures? And, anything that might be available to eat or drink, is frozen. Here’s a sweet female who was found in an abandoned home. Probably left behind, as so many are, by her owners. She will be seeing the vet compliments of 4p1h and we are praying that she is healthy and not pregnant. She is beautiful although you can see from her ruffled fur, it hasn’t been easy. There is a foster lined and we will let everyone know more once we find out from our friend Jo Addington who will be handling the adoption when Toko is ready. ~ dianaToko(akaSharla)1:13:15 tokoakasharla:1:13:15

Snowball – Deaf and Kicked Out by His Owners Finds a Loving Home

1/13/15 – Good Morning Happy Update: Some of our friends may remember Snowball. His owner was evicted and he was left behind to fend for himself — hard enough for any cat but little Snowball is deaf. He was laying in the street and dodging cats and dogs when he was rescued. Of course, his medical needs were taken care of by 4p1h. Our good friend, Denise, took him in and fostered him and through networking and our other friend, Jo’s, contacts, he was adopted. Here he is in his new home with his new friend, Buddy. ~ dianasnowballdeafcatw:een1:12:15
