Molly – Once Pregnant in a High Kill Shelter Living in the Kill Room For Weeks
5/12/15 – Update on Molly from her foster mom, Jennell. ~ diana
“! Molly is drinking water on her own! Yea! Went in for our usual meal time this morning, let Molly out of her crate, and found I had to clean her litter box again, that made me feel good. As I was preparing to feed her I looked over at Molly and she was at the water dish sucking up tons of water, ok, maybe tablespoons but for her to just want to drink on her own made my whole day. Still working on the food issue but once we crossed the water hurdle, I’m hoping the food issue will also resolve itself. She is so loving and she gets plenty of love and kisses. It’s cool today so continuing with the water bottle to keep her extra warm. ~ Jennell”

Molly and McGee –
5/11/15 – Update on Molly and McGee. Only God and these poor animals know what they have been put through by those who were put on this earth to protect them. Molly’s condition continues to be guarded; she will not eat on her own but foster mom, Pat, and foster, sister, Bree, have her on a 4-hour feeding schedule with special foods prescribed by the doctor. The good news is that she finally urinated and had a bowel movement which is HUGE! McGee, is doing well considering his emaciated condition when he was rescued. The two have to be separated in that neither are fixed and neither is healthy enough to be spayed/neutered. They love to be near each other, so you will often see McGee on top of Molly’s crate, sleeping. We are always thankful that because of our donors we are able to take care of the medical needs for these abused babies. ~ diana
April – Good Momma to Her Babies
5/11/15 These are the babies born May 5 to April. Here they are on May 7, 2015. ~ diana
“A peek at them at 48 hours old. In honor of the day they were born…we are naming them Hispanic names! Except for one…and I’ll get to that. The one to the far right, the brown tiger is named CHICO (I actually know a Chico so it’s funny) the light one, the blonde one (2nd to the left) will be name Annie…after my friend Anne Sadowski…and little Annie is living up to her namesake….see in photo # 2 see how Annie is pushing her litter mate out of the way of the bar (boobie bar in this case but yet a bar) – Anne to a Tee. So need 2 more names or really 4 because we don’t know the sex of them yet….suggestions? ~ Dee”
April and Her Babies
5/10/15 – Happy Mother’s Day to one of our most recent rescues, April. Shortly after being trapped and taken in by our Board member, Dee, and her husband, Rick, April gave birth to 4 babies. There is one more pregnant female we are hoping to trap. Of course 4 Paws 1 Heart will be paying for all medical needs. ~ diana
“April, the feral, had her Cinco de Mayo babies – O’la. She had 4 babies (unfortunately not 1 like I wished for) on Tuesday. This photo was taken a little over 24 hours of their birth. No matter how cute they are…and they are adorable (and fat!)…this was preventable if April would have been TNR-ed….remember- Prevention is the best medicine….so is vodka, but that is just for humans. So the moral of the story is – if you feed feral cats…NEUTER THEM…and fix the problem before it IS a problem. ~ Dee”
