1/25/23 – Cutee Reba, now a sweet, 9 lb., black female kitten (under 1 year old), is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She was found in September, 2022 as a stray baby kitten with a Cuterebra found in her head. A Cuterebra is “a large, non-biting, fat fly that lays its eggs near rodent or rabbit burrows on grass, rocks, and vegetation. A cat or dog that passes by the area, maybe sniffing out a mouse, may pick up the eggs on her coat. The eggs hatch into larvae and invade the dog or cat through the mouth, nasal passages, or an external wound.” The Cuterebra was removed immediately. She is now looking for a forever home. If you are interested or want more information, please contact Moore Veterinary Hospital (586-466-6133) and ask for Kim. She will send you an application. – Gina P.O.
