Again, thanks to all of our supporters and those who attended the “Disco in the D” and the phenomenal generosity of Colleen’s Irish Pub, 4 Paws 1 Heart is able to help little Niles who was rescued by our good friends at Loveabull Paws Rescue. He is still in the hospital but is holding his own (although he could use your prayers and positive energy). Here is his story: ~ diana
“Niles is a five week old male St. Bernard/Blue Heeler mix orphan pup. We got his litter of eight from the shelter at a week old and have bottle fed them. Niles is the runt of the litter but has been a fighter. He only weighs 1.7 pounds and in the past few days his health has been declining. He went to the vet today and is severely anemic due to such a bad infestation of tape worms and round worms. His body temperature is low and he is dehydrated. They are keeping him for a few days, stabilizing, doing blood transfusions, deworming, and IV fluids. “
WHAT A NIGHT!! The “Disco in the D” was a fabulous success and I cannot thank all of our friends enough for all of their support. One Hundred and Seventy Seven (177) people came out for the abandoned, stray, and abused. Hercules was even there for a short while on his way back from hosting an open house. And, a very new friend, Mary, gave back to 4 Paws 1 Heart the $510 she won in the 50/50 raffle!!! Again, I want to thank my wonderful husband for all of his work and support, Gina – our very own Animal Angel (and her partner in crime, Dave), our great Board of Directors, all of our friends and families who continue to support our fundraisers, and our new friends, at Colleen’s Irish Pub, who are phenomenal party hosts. May God Bless All Of You. The lives of many animals will be forever changed because of YOU! ~ Diana
April, 2013 Pawing it forward — Our little Gordie’s legacy will live on. In memory of our Gordie, 4 Paws 1 Heart has provided some medical dollars for this little doll, Carrie Underwood, who was rescued by P.A.A.W. She is an 8-week old female with Parvo. Please say a few prayers and send some positive energy for this girl. ~ diana
Gina’s kittens are getting big and sassy. From being taken in at birth without a mom to teach them how to be a ‘cat’, Gina and her trusty pal, Angel, were able to get them to a point where they will some day have lots of loving in a forever home. As soon as they are able to be spayed and neutered they will be available for adoption through A Scooter’s ResQ. ~ diana
April 8, 2013: Puppy prayers are needed once again for our most recent 4 Paws 1 Heart case, Lilly Bear, who is being treated for Parvo Virus. She is only six months old. Her fate was in our hands and we couldn’t this sweet girl away. ~ gina
We can only help because of you. 4 Paws 1 Heart has helped several puppies in the past couple of months who had contracted Parvo. Some have made it and some have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are trying to maintain a level of money in our account so that we can help when these cases are brought in. Without our funding, these little ones without homes, or those in homes where the families can’t afford to meet the financial needs would not have a chance. 99.99999% of all dollars donated go directly to medical treatment. Donations can be made on the FB link or our website [email protected]or by mail at P.O.Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080 ~ diana
Here’s an update on our Star from her mom, Dana. It was just about a month ago that she was brought in by the wonderful people who accidentally hit her. Now she’s living the life of luxury. Here’s Dana’s update. ~ diana
“I just thought you guys would like an update on Star, the cat I adopted from 4 Paws/Gina. She is doing wonderful and seems to have adjusted very quickly to her new home. She loves all of her new toys and hanging out with my fiancé and I. She is a wonderful addition to our life!! ~ Dana”
